Henry's Superman is officially six years old today!
On January 30, 2011 Warner Brothers announced he had been cast as Supes.
Back then, director Zack Snyder called Henry “the perfect choice to don the cape and S shield.”
He's more than proven that in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman.
The world now awaits his return in Justice League, and Superman is also getting a second standalone film.
Congratulations Henry, you've made this role your own.
Awww!!! Congrats Henry! here's to many, many more years to come as Superman! you are the reason some of us believe that a man can fly! cheers!

DeleteDear Henry, I can't imagine anyone more like Superman after Christopher Reeves, you have been and you will be the best, the real one. Let me share that since the first time I saw you in the movie The cold light of day I said to myself this gorgeous actor is going to be the next Superman, and when that became a reality I cried with excitement to see you in that fabulous blue suit. You look spectacular, you really are colossal in everything you do. Congratulations!!! I also thank the universe for creating you and above all letting me know you. And remember it's not the Kryptonite that can destroy Superman but the damn vices like alcohol and drugs. Take care and continue to stay firm and strong.
Cheers agree well said
DeleteMay you have many more years...Cav-El!
ReplyDeleteLove Cavill expecting to see more of him.
ReplyDeleteYes you are the best Superman in my opinion. Looking forward to more. I wish you the best in all you do. Good luck with your rehab and training. Waiting patiently for Sand Castle and JL. Cheers and Thanks!

As far as I am concerned, the hardest role to cast of any fictional character is and has always been Superman. An icon that has so much history and iteration, but more than anything there is an embodiment that has to be there. You can take any chiseled feature actor and stick him into the suit, and he's just an actor playing the part (I can name a few of those). But when you get someone like Henry, who truly embodies the character's spirit, something really special has happened. You feel like you ARE watching Superman, you believe and you relate, particularly in this version. I will forever be grateful for Zack Snyder and Henry Cavill for bringing the definitive Superman to the screen.
ReplyDeleteSnyder has had the best superman ever for 6 years and has only managed to completed 2 movies. What a waste
ReplyDeleteThere will be more. Count on it. Besides, Snyder wanted to make sure everything was right. Can't blame him. This IS Superman we're talking about here...
Delete@anonymous actually 3 movies, and it's not 6 years it'll be 4 years by the time JL is out. 6 years ago today is when the casting announcement was made, not production or completion of the very first movie.
