'M:I Fallout' Director Talks About Walker's "Calculating Nature"

Empire magazine's May issue features a short preview of Mission: Impossible Fallout. In it, director Chris McQuarrie talks about Henry's character... and the more we learn about Walker the more we just know he's a badass!

"He is, without question, the single greatest antagonist to Ethan in the movie," says McQuarrie of Cavill's character, Walker, a CIA tough-nut seconded to the IMF to keep an eye on them. "For the first time Ethan has a member of his team who doesn't give a shit about the IMF or their way of doing things. It's been great watching Henry take to the cold, calculating nature of a character who is trained to kill. And yet he does it in a way that is not, for lack of a better term, moustache-twirling."

'Batman v Superman' In September Issue Of Empire Magazine

We've been so busy with promotion for The Man from U.N.C.L.E., but we're not forgetting Supes!

We're now just 8 months away from the release of Batman v Superman, and if it goes anything like the promo for Man of Steel, get ready for some fun stuff.

Empire magazine has just revealed the cover for their September issue that goes on sale Thursday, and it's pretty awesome! -- Just ask the boss..

Ben Affleck’s Dark Knight is pictured against a murky and distinctive Gotham cityscape. “There is just this gravitas to Batman,” director/producer/franchise oversees Zack Snyder stresses in our cover feature. “He is operatic.” And Superman? " In this movie, everyone has split into different directions as to how they feel about this alien," explains Henry Cavill. "Some people love him, some hate him. Other people fear him. Is he a tyrant?"

At the heart of Empire's access-all-areas coverage this month is a trip to the heart of the Batman V Superman brains trust and a chance to meet the man piloting this superhero behemoth, as well as his stars, and get the scoop on the origins, development and execution of this unprecedented super-mash.

Of course, the blockbuster also introduces Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman and Jason Momoa’s Aquaman in a way that will then spin directly into The Justice League. To any doubters, Snyder is keen to stress the methodical, planned through-line that supports this newly expanded DCverse. “I want all the other directors of the other films to be able to stretch their legs and do what they want, but at the same time there is a big interconnected universe."

The cover is the work of the talented Clay Enos. We can't wait to see what else he has in store for us.
Again, the new issue of Empire hits newsstands on Thursday. Buy it here. We'll share the scans as we get them. Go Supes!

P.S. Make sure to catch everything from Comic-Con (1/2/3). A lot of great moments, including #Benry. ;)

Empire Magazine: Henry Talks Stratton, Jessica Chastain, More

Empire Magazine has shared (June issue) the interview it did with Henry at the 2015 Jameson Empire Awards. Henry was there to present Christopher Nolan with the Best Director award. He spoke to the magazine about Stratton, meeting Jessica Chastain, and even threw in a Game of Thrones reference (you know he's a big fan!). Check it out below, and don't miss all of our coverage from that day!

How was your 2014?
I was on Batman v Superman the entire year, developing lots of close relationships with lots of new friends and everything. I really enjoyed it.

Who’s the most exciting person you’ve met tonight that you’ve never met before?
Er…I’ve seen a lot of people! There’s an extraordinarily talented bunch of people here. It’s lovely to see people in real life. I’d met Christopher before but I hadn’t met Jessica. You sort of go, “Oh, sh**! That’s what you look like! How about that? But I don’t get starstruck, obviously… That would be silly..

Tell our readers a secret about your next project.
Umm, okay… He’s a very talented man who works with British Military Intelligence. I’ll leave it at that.

Describe this evening in no more than three words.

Really, really good. That’a a bad answer to a bad question. [Kit Harrington walks past] Aww, I wish you were here two seconds ago! I could have said, “Winter is coming!”

Empire Awards: The Nicest Superman Strikes Again

What a nice Friday this has been, with a new pic of Henry in London and new The Man from U.N.C.L.E. details and stillsNow Mike is sharing his photos from the Empire Awards, along with the best story by his "correspondent," James:

"A few minutes later Superman himself Henry Cavill arrived! Just like Jessica, Henry spent ages meeting fans and posing for photos."

"He signed an index card for me, and posed for a photo too. When the sun had kinda ruined the first attempt, he was kind enough to pose for a second picture!"

"I wish I’d known he was going though, I would have loved to get my Man of Steel promo book signed."

Oh, and when we told Mike we weren't surprised Henry was super nice, this is what he had to say.. Go Solo!

And if that doesn't keep you smiling all weekend long.. thanks again, Mike and James!

Catch the rest of their coverage from the Empire Awards -- And don't miss the rest of ours. Only a few more days before Henry hits the red carpet again, this time at the Laureus World Sports Awards in China. We'll be here to bring you all the pics, details and videos.
