It looks like we'll have to savour all those BAFTA week moments (1/2/3/4), because we've confirmed with Henry's reps that he will not be attending the Oscar ceremony this Sunday.
Amy Adams and Ben Affleck will be there, but a Batman v Superman cast takeover won't happen until next year. At least that's what we're hoping for, since by then the film will be weeks away from its March 25 release. Henry mentioned the Oscars and the BAFTAs, while talking about how proud he is to be British in a recent interview and it's really a must-watch.
Alright everyone, time to clear your schedule! -- Tickets for this year's Comic-Con which will take place July 9-12, go on sale this Saturday. And trust us, you'll want to be in San Diego. Fact: Henry Cavill is a huge Game of Thrones fan. If there was any question, Conleth Hill (who plays Varys in the TV adaptation of the books) put that to rest in his new interview with New York magazine. And it all came about when he mentioned Henry's Man of Steel and Batman v Superman costar, Laurence Fishburne: So one of your hardcore fans is Laurence Fishburne?
Yes! I've met him since, and I'm a bigger fan of his, but I worked with his beautiful wife Gina [Torres] on Suits, and she and I became friends. And on my first day there, she told me that he was a big fan. Apparently he was about to watch the show, and Henry Cavill was the one who told him, "No, no, no, read the books first," so he became a fan of A Song of Ice and Fire, all the Game of Thrones books. He's read them all. And then, she showed me a text from Laurence that said, "Welcome, master of whisperers and your little birds, too," or something like that, which was very sweet of both of them. It made me feel at home. But you know, I didn't read the books...
Why do we see Henry giving him the side-eye right about now.. (not really!) -- Hill goes on to explain why he didn't read the books, and if you're a Game of Thrones fan (yes, we're talking to you Henry) you'll want to check out the rest of the interview.
Author Duncan Falconer has shared a new update on his Facebook page, and it involves meeting Henry and sharing what he thought of him as Stratton. Just a few days ago, Falconer confirmed the film has found its director.
"I met Henry for a beer a few days ago, our first meeting. I'm a no BS kind of person, as you might suppose, and I have to say, and I'm relieved to say, he is a first rate bloke. If he was otherwise, I'd just keep silent on the subject. So for all of his fans who actually wonder what he is really like, I can assure you, he gets my approval, and I'm tough to please. He has a lot of Stratton in him. Next stage is to get him in the field, get him wet, cold, tired, put a gun in his hands, and take it from there. I'm looking forward to that."
Wet, cold and tired?.. whatever it takes to become John Stratton, we know Henry will give it his 100 percent. Here's a little bit of what he could be in for, as he prepares to play a Special Boat Service operative. Stay tuned for the very latest, as production gets closer.

It's a time to celebrate at Durrell Wildlife and Cavill Conservation, as they work to save the most threatened tortoise on the planet. Henry got to meet some ploughshare tortoises last summer, and recently Durrell announced they've reached their goal of releasing 100 of them into the wild!

So, this happened to Federica Amati (fedeamati) 142 weeks ago.. we don't think we would have recovered. She just tagged the pic taken it looks like around the same time as the Love Brunch in London, which Henry attended with friends back in May of 2012. The internet is still buzzing about The Man from U.N.C.L.E. trailer, and this weekend Henry is back on the big screen, as the film's first teaser debuts in theaters attached to Kingsman: The Secret Service. It comes a couple of days after U.N.C.L.E. was released online (read the awesome reviews, see the hot new stills), and here are a few of the things we've learned since then.
1) The accent everyone is gushing about, was a dedicated effort. In an exclusive interview with People magazine, Henry spoke about the work he put into it: "The toughest thing was finding Solo's voice," adding that he and director Guy Ritchie "went back and forth even throughout shooting to refine how he sounds."

2) No one can rock a suit or sunglasses like Henry Cavill.
We kind of already knew that, but this trailer really brought it home. Oscar-nominated Joanna Johnstonwas in charge of the costumes, and Henry told People the film's unique style helped him get into character, saying that "it's very defining" to act in costume: "It's always fun working on a costume for a character. Solo has a particular style, which help me get into character."
Henry admitted to the magazine that he hadn't seen the 60s TV series the film is based on, before reading the script. He describes Solo as a "lovable rogue," and despite the inevitable comparisons to Robert Vaughn, Henry said "it's important not to imitate someone else's work."
3) The music that made the trailer come alive was absolutely funktastic! -- but we're gonna have to wait for the original score.

The familiar song you heard, was 'Funky Music Sho Nuff Turns Me On' by Edwin Starr. Name of the Song tracked down the rest of the music used in the trailer, so give it a listen.
4) Henry remains a gentleman, on and off the set.
This is what he had to say to People, when asked about his experience working with his U.N.C.L.E. costars and director: "They're both wonderful people and a pleasure to work with," Cavill says of Hammer and Grant, whom he enjoyed joking around with on set. "Any funny stories I'm going to keep to myself, though. No telling tales out of school."
Still, his favorite part was working with Ritchie. "He made the whole experience an absolute pleasure," Cavill says. "I'm lucky to have worked with him."
5) We're in for ONE. HOT. RIDE. -- As Entertainment Tonight describes in a funny post with a series of caps, "The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Is Full of Unreasonably Attractive People." Uhm, Solo in a robe?.. doesn't get any hotter than that!

We always knew Henry would be more than a fitting Solo, in the big screen adaptation ofThe Man from U.N.C.L.E., and judging by the internet's reaction after the release of the first trailer, you all seem to agree!
The first trailer for The Man From U.N.C.L.E. is chock full of super-spy goodness. Set in the 60s, Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer star as American and Russian spies, respectively who have to work together. It’s got a Mad Man look with a carefree feel (plus Hugh Grant is in it!), and we’re definitely already excited to see the finished movie.
The excitement leading up to the film's August 14 release continues to build today, as we share more new stills from the film and more reaction from around the web. People magazine had a chance to exclusively talk to Henry about The Man from U.N.C.L.E., don't miss what he had to share!
Entertainment Weekly: The unlikely duo become partners in the course of a tale that reveals the origin of the baddie-fighting United Network Command for Law and Enforcement. “The series hadn’t really done the origin story—U.N.C.L.E. already existed,” says producer Lionel Wigram, who also co-wrote the screenplay. “At the height of the Cold War you’ve got a Russian and an American working together. How did that come about?” The film’s other cast members include Jared Harris (Mad Men), Alicia Vikander (A Royal Affair), Elizabeth Debicki (The Great Gatsby), and Hugh Grant, whose character, Waverly, was the U.N.C.L.E. pair’s boss on the original show. But it’s Hammer who seems to have done the most prep work for the movie. “I moved to the Soviet Union for six years,” he deadpans. “It was time travel as well as location. The jet lag is a killer.” We also learned that director Guy Ritchie is now on Twitter and Instagram, so give him a follow!
