New BTS Pic: The Man From U.N.C.L.E. In Rome

A photo posted by Guy Ritchie (@guyritchie) on

Okay, so we're not gonna lie.. we're disappointed Henry is not in this new behind the scenes pic just shared by director Guy Ritchie. But at least we have giggly Solo to hold us over until we see him again. The Man from U.N.C.L.E. scene the director shared, was filmed in the Rome area in October of 2013. Catch all of our coverage during that time. Five months to go!

Throwback Thursday: Henry Has Always Been The Sweetest

chrissygraphs: "Henry Cavill! What a darling guy!"

Chrissy just shared the autograph she received from Henry a few years ago, and we love his message!

Isn't that the best advice from Superman, who is now Napoleon Solo, and soon to be Stratton?

What can we say, we're so proud to be his fans.

If you want an autograph from Henry, here is what you need to do. Good luck!

Hot Superman Alert: A "Bushy" Henry In London!

We can't get enough of that super beard!.. so bushy, and seems so soft.

It's nice to see Henry out and about in London, as he prepares for Stratton. Keep it coming everyone, we're loving the hot pics!

Episode in Limbo: We May Not Get To Watch Henry On 'Top Gear'

UPDATE 3/12: @BBCJersey has confirmed with the Top Gear press office, that Henry is still booked for this season's final episode of the show supposed to air later this month. If it does, we'll reportedly get to watch Henry take a lap in a reasonably priced car. A final decision has not been made on whether it will be broadcast. Details as we get them!

This has turned out to be a busy Wednesday, with a new update from Henry on cavillconservation.com, and a new weekend pic from London! -- However this following news item is kind of a bummer if true. Luca Munro told us that according to Wikipedia (yes, we know.. we know..) Henry was supposed to be a guest on the 9th episode of Top Gear's 22nd season this month. But then real life happened.

The show's host has been suspended by the BBC, after he allegedly punched a producer.

“Following a fracas with a BBC producer, Jeremy Clarkson has been suspended pending an investigation. No one else has been suspended. Top Gear will not be broadcast this Sunday. The BBC will be making no further comment at this time.”

The BBC has reportedly also opted not to show the remaining shows, that include Henry's appearance.

The BBC is set to pull the remaining episodes in the present season of the show, which has a global audience estimated at more than 350 million in 214 territories, following the incident. The next two episodes have been removed from the BBC schedules already, and a third, the final of the season, is unlikely to air either.

Here's a bit more on the show:

Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May host this fast-paced and stunt-filled motor show that tests whether cars, both mundane and extraordinary, live up to their manufacturers' claims. The hosts travel to locations around the world, performing extreme stunts and challenges to see what the featured cars are capable of. Celebrity guests also appear on some episodes to help the guys test the vehicles. Things don't always go as planned, though, with broken bones and mechanical mishaps sometimes part of the experiments.

As you know, Henry loves sports cars, in fact he just did a photo shoot with a really nice one for an upcoming issue of ShortList magazine.

So it would have been nice to see him on Top Gear. Hopefully we still will. Keep you posted as this story develops.

London Sighting: The Sexiest Beard Is Back!

"Sunday lunch suddenly got much hotter. #HenryCavill made my day!"

@1biceonly and her cousin ran into Henry in London, and Kal was with him! -- Henry is currently preparing for his role in Stratton, and has just updated his cavillconservation.com site. It's really nice to see that sexy beard again. The last time we saw him, he gave us the first finalist for BEST PIC of the year! --  We missed you, Henry.

Cavill Conservation: New Message From Henry!

Henry has published a wonderful new message on cavillconservation.com. Check it out and leave him your message of support! -- And while you're there learn how you can help him save endangered species.
Happy Wednesday, everyone.

I hope the news I have for you today will go some way as to showing you why supporting Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust is worth your time.

Obviously, I am extremely proud of my home Island of Jersey. Even more so when I learn that the spiritual home that I share with my chosen wildlife charity has made a larger impact on the natural world than even I imagined.

A recently published scientific paper* that measures the impact of conservation on the 63 species of animals that have been moved away from extinction (according to the IUCN Redlist), shows that 8 of those species – 12% – are the subject of Durrell-led conservation programmes.

No other organisation can currently claim a higher number or percentage.

To celebrate, on the 28th of January we launched a suite of indicators that show, graphically, exactly the effect we can have on the world – for its animals. It’s called ‘the Durrell Index’, and we hope it will become an ‘industry standard’ as it were, for conservationists to benchmark against. That will hopefully drive and support more conservation work, and show people that there is still hope…that it’s not too late to make a difference for nature.

Learn more about this incredible work at www.durrell.org/index

Yours,

Henry

RMCTF Goal Update, Huge Fan Support For Henry

We have some great news to report on Henry's fundraising effort for The Royal Marines Charity Trust Fund. He's now reached 97% of his goal! (thanks to Evicka for getting him there).

So far Henry has raised (UPDATED TOTAL: Thanks, Lisa! ) £19,471 (about $29,340) for the charity, that provides a better quality of life to serving and retired Royal Marines and their families. As you know, Henry's brother Nik is a Royal Marine, so it's a cause that is very close to his heart.

Henry spoke to us about that connection to the RMCTF, when he participated (along with his brother Nik, and trainer, Michael Blevins) in the Gibraltar Rock Run last October. He also had a special message for you, so don't miss it!

As an ambassador for the RMCTF, Henry has been proudly wearing their gear. And many of you have responded by doing the same, so a big thanks for your support for Henry and the charity. Here's where you can order yours.

Henry also wears his support on his wrist,  and if you want a cool bracelet like the one he wears, read how to get one from us (thanks to the charity) when you help him reach his goal. Henry is currently training for his role in Stratton, in which he'll play an agent with the British Special Forces. So we can't wait to bring you updates on that, and his work with the RMCTF that supports those brave men and women.

Happy Sunday: It's All About "The Man"

We love Entertainment Weekly, because they clearly love Henry. First they give us some hot new stills of him as The Man from U.N.C.L.E., and this weekend he was their chosen pic for that tweet that went out to their almost 3.5 million followers. Henry is also featured as their number one photo on that gallery, attached to this caption:

Superman

Played by: Henry Cavill
Film: Man of Steel (2013)

With a pec-hugging new Supersuit, the Brits’ take on the all-American (by way of Krypton) hero puts the ”S” in sexy. —Lanford Beard

No kidding, Mr. Beard.

Superman rocks, and we're only 382 days away from seeing him kick Batman's butt in Dawn of Justice. Happy Sunday.

First Look At Superman's TV Cousin In Her Supergirl Costume

Warner Brothers has released a first look at Melissa Benoist as Supergirl!

THR:

The costume was designed by three-time Oscar-winner Colleen Atwood, who also served in the same capacity for WBTV/The CW's DC takes Arrowand The Flash.

"In designing Supergirl, I wanted to embrace the past but more importantly, thrust her into the street-style action hero of today," said Atwood, who earned Oscars for Into the Woods, Snow White and the Huntsman and Sweeney Todd.

Production on the pilot started this week in Los Angeles.

The drama centers on Kara Zor-El (Benoist), Superman's cousin, who was born on the planet Krypton and escaped amid its destruction years ago. After arriving on Earth, Kara was taken in by a foster family, the Danvers, who taught her to be careful with her extraordinary powers (which she shares with her famous cousin).

So what do you think about Superman's TV cousin's look? -- We like that it's the same color scheme as Henry's, but the "S" is clearly different and obviously we think Michael Wilkinson's Superman costume is the best! (but we may be a little biased).

Share your thoughts! -- Here is some of your reaction on Twitter.

Throwback Thursday With A Handsome Henry In London

Who can forget this rainy day! -- Henry was in London for the premiere of Man of Steel, and there were so many great moments to enjoy. Mo (momeetsstars) just shared her cute photo with Superman. Check out the rest of the pics in our gallery, and the videos from that day.

We can't wait to see Henry walk that red carpet again in August, this time with The Man from U.N.C.L.E.!

"You Don't Have To Explain To The Consumer What A Batman v Superman Is"

Leave it to the top boss at Warner Brothers, to say it like it is. Speaking at a conference today (via Variety), Kevin Tsujihara couldn't have been more clear about the studio's plans to build a connected cinematic universe. But he also made sure to mention what makes films like Batman v Superman different from their Marvel counterparts:

“The worlds of DC are very different,” (..) “They’re steeped in realism, and they’re a little bit edgier than Marvel’s movies.”

Tsujihara also dismissed concerns that the film industry is suffering from superhero fatigue, crediting the global recognition of the DC characters:

“The big franchises are becoming more and more valuable,” (..) “You don’t have to explain to the consumer what a ‘Batman v Superman’ is.”

He went on to talk about cyber-security at Warner Brothers in light of the Sony hack attack and much more. Read it all over at Variety.  Killing it, Superman!

UPDATE 3/6: Nice one, Larry Fong..

Relaxed Tuesday: Nothing Like Seeing Henry In A Cap

Sure, it's a pitch to buy their hats.. and we are sold!

Henry was spotted in that cute cap while making his way through LAX in May of 2012. It reminded us how much we love his relaxed look, that we're hoping to see again as it gets warmer outside. Here's a look back at some of our favorite hat pics.

He's always looked great in them.. you remember lucky Federica ;)

Henry flashing that killer smile at the Montreal Airport back in April of 2011.

This fan in London made us all jealous, when she ran into Henry in July of 2013. We love her pigtails too! -- That summer Henry was rockin' the jeans and the cap, everywhere he went..

Another group of lucky fans that summer...

Throw in those Aviators (this was in L.A.).. dead.

Yep, Henry can definitely wear those caps and we are so ready for summer to get here! -- Hope you're having a great week everyone.

UPDATE: We've added this fan favorite, which was taken in the fall of 2011 in the Vancouver area, while Henry was there filming Man of Steel. Let us know if you have a favorite pic of Henry in a cap you want us to add.

Smile For The Camera: Selfie Time With Henry's Durrell Family!

Just look at Henry's gorilla family, making him proud with their selfie skills!

We think they might have picked up some tips from Superman, when he became Durrell Wildlife's ambassador and visited them at the Jersey park in August. That is except Badongo, who you can see pouting in the background (don't let him fool you, he's a real sweetheart).

Henry talking to the press during his visit to Durrell Wildlife in August of 2014.

The cute selfies are part of a project by American students Eloise Sherrid and Zoe Lohmann, to highlight Durrell's conservation work. Cameras were set up in different enclosures throughout the park, and here is some of the awesome stuff that was captured (the best part at about 1:07).

Don't miss the rest of the encounters and pictures over at The Daily Mail. Henry shares a special bond with the gorillas at the park, and posts updates on cavillconservation.com. While there, you can adopt a member of Henry's gorilla family, and learn more on how he's helping Durrell save animals from extinction. Thanks for your support, everyone!
