Henry Attends Dunhill's Fall/Winter 2016 Show In London

Henry showed up at Dunhill's Fall/Winter 2016 show in London tonight. And he's no stranger to the runway, having also attended Dunhill's Spring/Summer preview last April, and most recently their presentation in Shanghai. Henry wore Dunhill throughout The Man from U.N.C.L.E. press tour, and it's looking like he might do the same for the Batman v Superman one.

"He Can Sure As Hell Take Batman Out If He Wants To"


USA Today has a great new article on Batman v Superman, and a preview of the rest of the DC films coming up. It includes interviews with Henry, Zack Snyder, and Ben Affleck. In the piece, Henry talks about how he approached playing Clark and Supes in the film and more:

Similarly, Cavill doesn’t make a separation between Superman and Clark Kent, who was seen taking his job at the Daily Planet at the end of Man of Steel. In Dawn of Justice, Clark and Bruce have confrontations in costume and out, since Superman is equally irked that Batman doesn’t have criminals’ civil liberties in mind as a one-man army. (They both get on the same page soon enough when they see young ne’er-do-well Lex Luthor, played by Jesse Eisenberg, up to no good.)

Batman v Superman is very much about humanity’s perspective on the Man of Steel, Cavill says, and when he faces Batman, the last son of Krypton knows he can put him in the ground — a weakness exploited by Affleck’s savvy do-gooder.


“He can sure as hell take Batman out if he wants to, and Batman takes advantage of that,” Cavill says, comparing Superman’s constrained Clark Kent side to a dad playing football with a bunch of children.

“He’s not going to go all-out against the kids because he’ll end up smashing people around. It’s the idea of still wanting to have fun but no one gets hurt, so you’re being careful about where your knees and elbows are going. That’s what Clark is for me, but Superman is far more relaxed. Superman is dad just being dad at home.”

According to USA Today, Henry is more than ready for Superman to meet some of the characters in the rest of DC's world:

And no one is more excited about seeing the possibility of Superman meeting, say, Harley Quinn than the guy wearing the big "S" on his chest.

“There’s a whole world of fantasy in comic books, and if you just focus on one small portion of it, you’re never going to get the full magic of it,” Cavill says. “Now that we’re introducing all these other characters and really building the universe to a far larger place than just a simple alien’s life on Earth, it really makes it extraordinarily interesting.”

We hear ya, Supes.

Brian Truitt is the journalist who wrote the piece for USA Today. On twitter he shared a bit more about his chat with Henry, saying he had never talked with him before. But he called him "a great interview," adding that the football analogy "was pretty fantastic."

Batman v Superman: Full Supes Character Poster Now in!


VOX Cinemas: "Try the #BatmanvSuperman augmented reality experience exclusively at #VOXCinemas MOE throughout this week!"

We've seen the cropped Supes character poster released by Henry a few weeks ago, and now here's the full version!

The bottom part is still covered by text since it was posted as part of the augmented reality experience Warner Bros UK teased earlier this month (hopefully we get the clean version soon). Check out how it works below.

Jesse E: Lex Sees Superman As "Genuine Threat To Humanity"


Whatever Lex, WHAT-evah.

The man who is messing with Supes in Batman v Superman, is on the cover of Wired magazine's special January issue.

We shared Lex's revealing chat with the magazine a few weeks ago, and now the LA Times has a new interview with the very real Jesse Eisenberg:

Eisenberg has just finished filming behind-the-scenes footage for"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," expanding on Luthor's ancillary storyline that Warner Bros. dreamed up for his character's immense corporation, LexCorp. It's a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the SEO-friendly villain that will be used to market the film, which opens March 25.

Side note: We're thinking this may be the shoot they mention..





Back to the interview, Jesse says he can't reveal how Lex will eventually lose his hair in Batman v Superman, but he does a great job teasing that moment:

"When you see the movie, you'll see. It's the greatest scene that I've ever gotten to take part in — it accounts for the change in hair."



Jesse also shares more on Lex's psyche, and his main beef with Superman:

"He is a narcissist of the first order but complicated in that way as well in that he is terribly troubled and competitive and vengeful. He looks at Superman not as somebody to destroy but as a genuine threat to humanity."

Confirmed: Henry Cavill Not Attending 'Golden Globes'

Lois (Amy Adams) and Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) will be at the Golden Globes, but don't expect Superman. We can confirm that Henry will not be attending the ceremony this Sunday in Los Angeles. His reps tell us he also won't be at any of the parties leading up to the awards show. They say he's busy in London preparing for Justice League, which begins filming in the spring. While Henry is skipping this week's festivities, we're pretty sure we'll see him walk a red carpet or two ahead of the Batman v Superman premiere in March. Stay tuned.

Zack On Trinity Dynamic, First New York City Billboard Sighting!


There is tons of Batman v Superman news today, so let's get right to it.

Here's the Cineplex cover without the text, and it's a beauty! -- Henry's new interview with the magazine is all over the internet, don't miss it.
Director Zack Snyder has also been talking Supes and Bats, and in this new interview with FilmInk, he mentions how Wonder Woman comes into play:

Does she have as much screen time as Ben and Henry in this movie?

No, she has a cameo in this movie. No, actually… it’s bigger than a cameo. She comes in and does something.



In the trailer, Superman and Batman make a joke and then Wonder Woman appears. How did that joke come about?

The ‘Is she with you?’ joke at the end of the trailer? You have to see the movie, because it gears into the drama of what’s happening, and if you see it in the context of the film, it completely makes sense that the two of them were trying to figure out who she is…

What kind of dynamic do the three of them have?

Well, they’re forced together, which you get a sense of from the trailer. They’re forced to work together.

UPDATE: Zack is doing press all over the place! -- He has a great interview with MTV, where he talks about why fans shouldn't worry that the trailers are giving up too much info:

“I have the benefit of seeing the movie,” he pointed out “It’s cool that they think it’s too much and I appreciate people not wanting to know, but there’s plenty that they don’t know. There’s a lot of movie that’s not in the trailer.”

The Hollywood Reporter is the latest trade to give Batman v Superman a thumbs up ahead of its release. The film is one of its "Most Anticipated of 2016."

DC's beloved characters start to form the Justice League on the big screen, as Henry Cavill as Superman is joined by Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Ben Affleck as Batman. Zack Snyder returns to helm the Warner Bros. sequel to 2013's Man of Steel, which also sees Amy Adams reprise the role of Lois Lane and introduces Jesse Eisenberg as villain LexLuthor.

 And New York City is getting ready! (right on Times Square).

Henry On Superman: "Wonderfully Rich" & "Enjoyable To Play"

Behind the scenes of Batman v Superman via Total Film

Cineplex just came out with its guide of the Must See Movies of 2016, and of course Batman v Superman had to be in there. But the really exciting part, is that the article includes a new interview with Henry. In it he talks about the criticism against Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, and playing Supes: 

Cavill is good-natured about his first Superman movie’s lukewarm reviews as he reveals what little he’s allowed to about the expansive second chapter.“The reception of my first Superman movie, from what I’ve read, was fairly mixed,” the English actor says via phone from New York. 

“Everyone I’ve spoken to enjoyed the movie, but [not] unlike if you’re going to meet a stranger in the street, they’re not going to badmouth you to your face. There’s no intentional move, I don’t think, in Batman v. Superman to address any issues that people had with Man of Steel. It’s just a continuation of that storyline and they continue to develop that world and introduce new characters.”

Cavill adds that, perhaps more than world-building, he’s excited to explore new aspects of his brooding, conflicted, Earth-saving alien.“I think maybe people may look down on some popular-culture stuff, but they’re actually very complicated and interesting characters,” he says.

“Superman especially, he’s just wonderfully rich and one of those things, for me, that’s just enjoyable to play. There’s so far you can go with it; if you really, really delve deep into the character, there’s so much you can do. It’s just about exploring it within the vehicles and finding what you want to do. He’s going to have some very interesting character development in this one.”


It's interesting to note the interview was reportedly conducted while Henry was in New York. So we're not sure if it was done when he was there promoting The Man from U.N.C.L.E. last summer (and was embargoed until now), or if he's been there recently perhaps doing more press ahead of the Batman v Superman release. Either way, the promotional floodgates have opened, and you can expect to see him on magazine covers and making tons of TV appearances soon. And we'll be here to bring it all to you!

Zack Snyder: "We're Working On 'Justice League' Right Now"


Director Zack Snyder, just made the first Monday of 2016, even better!

First we get a new interview with Henry talking to Cineplex about Batman v Superman, and then Zack tops it off with words we love to hear: "We're working on Justice League right now."

The quote is part of his new interview with Hollyscoop, where he also mentioned how it was like working with Henry and Ben in Batman v Superman: 

It was great. They're fun, they're smart, they're enthusiastic. It's a difficult process, you know making a superhero movie it's a lot of costumes.. and it's like long hours. We shot in Detroit in the winter and it's cold, and it was hot in the summer.. just there was a lot of adversity. But those two guys are complete troopers, and they really just put their heads down and did amazing work.

Warner Brothers and DC Entertainment are working with Doritos on a Super Bowl ad campaign (see the three finalists), which is why Zack is doing press right now. And you know that 99.9% .. nah, 100% means a new Batman v Superman spot at the Super Bowl!  -- Plus look for that Doritos bag when the film opens in theaters March 25:  "Coming soon to Metropolis & Gotham."

Also about to be released, the Batman and Superman cereals we've been hearing about. They are supposed to hit stores later this week. Read all the details.

Finally, The Guardian (UK) has placed the film on its list of "The Most Unmissable Culture of 2016."

The DC Comics film universe belatedly gets into the match-up business with this follow-up to Man of Steel that pits, yes, Batman against, you guessed it, Superman. Henry Cavill returns as the latter while Ben Affleck shoehorns himself into cape and body armour as the Man of Bat. Prepping future films, we’ll also see glimpses of Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Cyborg, with Jesse Eisenberg on hand as Superman’s nemesis, Lex Luthor.

Style Watch: Award Ceremonies & Parties On The Way!

We haven't heard much from Henry since he's been on his holiday break. But it's not staying that way for long, with the big award ceremonies and parties kicking off this week in Los Angeles.

So far there are no confirmed appearances, but last year Henry attended the W magazine party, the BAFTA LA Tea party, and the CAA party on Golden Globes Sunday. 





A few weeks later he hit the party circuit in London, making an appearance at BAFTA's Film Gala and the awards pre-party before attending the ceremony as a presenter.





Henry has yet to walk the red carpet at the Oscars, but with that ceremony taking place less than a month before Batman v Superman opens in theaters -- we're betting this could be the year!

Keep in mind that Henry confirmed to Jimmy Fallon that he'd be starting pre-production on Justice League this month, so that may affect which events he attends. Here is the list of the awards season schedule. We'll be keeping track of the latest announcements, so stay tuned..

Official 'Batman v Superman' Merchandise On Sale, 2016 Buzz!


Just a few hours into the new year, and we're already off to a great start!

Warner Brothers kicked off 2016 by unveiling its official Batman v Superman merchandise, that is now for sale at their shop. Check out the new items, but we warn you..  it won't be easy deciding what to get. There is also new stuff over at merchoid.com.

The Today Show kept the buzz going, by giving a shoutout to Henry as it previewed the film.


And Variety and other media outlets, are just as excited as we are about Batman v Superman..



Games Radar lists Batman v Superman among its "Best New Movies of 2016:"

The film: Batman and Superman together in one film... and they're not even on the same side! Zack Snyder follows up his first entry into the DC Cinematic Universe with a superhero smackdown starring Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman and Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman. The pair are at loggerheads, Lex Luthor is greasing them up for a scrap, and then Doomsday arrives on the scene. The duo might not be pals to begin with but, as we've seen in the trailer, they'll have to put their differences aside if that dawn is to arrive.

Most exciting element: Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, fighting together side-by-side. Doesn't get much more goosebump-inducing than that.
Entertainment Weekly also features the Trinity in its latest issue.
