'Enola Holmes' Reviews Start Coming In

We're still a couple of weeks away from the release of  Enola Holmes on Netflix (Sept. 23) but the first reviews are in!

Metro:

Henry Cavill is a long-haired charmer as the famous detective Sherlock Holmes – even if it does go against the apparent canon of his character, which recently landed the production in hot water with author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s estate. But you can never have enough Henry Cavill smirks.

So far critics seem to be really liking the film based on the Nancy Springer book series, with Henry's performance described as smooth and debonair. Check out some of the reviews for Enola Holmes at the links below.

Henry Invites You To Participate In Durrell Challenge Virtual Run

The Durrell Challenge is almost here and Henry shared a video today highlighting why he's committed to working with Durrell as the charity's ambassador.

A little something for you all during the warm up to the Durrell Challenge. Now, I'm fairly sure that some of the lines in this video are scripted, although I actually have met a child who fancied eating slugs....not saying it was James Haskell, but it might have been. Regardless of some questionable life choices for humans, this is indeed heart warming and also a little sad. In truth, it shows how important Durrell really is. These are just some of the species that Durrell is working incredibly hard to help survive looming extinction. I know that I don't want the little gems in that video to be the last ones when they grow up, which is why I do what I do. If you want to have a go too, we have the Durrell Challenge coming up. Check out the link in my bio to see how you can take part from your home town. #DoItForDurrell @Durrell_JerseyZoo @TheDurrellChallenge @JamesHaskell

Let's do it for Durrell!

'Enola Holmes' Trailer Released: Watch It Now

Enola Holmes arrives on Netflix on September 23 and its trailer has just been released!

We're super excited to see Henry as Sherlock and you can tell his relationship with Enola is gonna be THE BEST.

Directed by Harry Bradbeer
Produced by Mary Parent, Alex Garcia, Ali Mendes, Millie Bobby Brown, and Paige Brown
Based upon the book by Nancy Springer
Screenplay by Jack Thorne
Music by Daniel Pemberton

Starring Millie Bobby Brown, Sam Claflin, Adeel Akhtar, Fiona Shaw, Frances de la Tour, Louis Partridge, Burn Gorman, Susan Wokoma with Henry Cavill and Helena Bonham Carter

About Enola Holmes:

England, 1884 – a world on the brink of change. On the morning of her 16th birthday, Enola Holmes (Millie Bobby Brown) wakes to find that her mother (Helena Bonham Carter) has disappeared, leaving behind an odd assortment of gifts but no apparent clue as to where she’s gone or why. After a free-spirited childhood, Enola suddenly finds herself under the care of her brothers Sherlock (Henry Cavill) and Mycroft (Sam Claflin), both set on sending her away to a finishing school for “proper” young ladies. Refusing to follow their wishes, Enola escapes to search for her mother in London. But when her journey finds her entangled in a mystery surrounding a young runaway Lord (Louis Partridge), Enola becomes a super-sleuth in her own right, outwitting her famous brother as she unravels a conspiracy that threatens to set back the course of history. Based on the beloved book series by Nancy Springer, ENOLA HOLMES is a dynamic new mystery-adventure that introduces the world’s greatest detective to his fiercest competition yet: his teenage sister. The game is afoot.

Please Read: 'The Durrell Challenge' Update

Ollie Jones // Studio_M

It's been a tough year for Durrell's Jersey Zoo as the charity deals with the loss of revenue due to the pandemic. Now organizers of The Durrell Challenge have announced some big changes to the upcoming run. Please read below.

Further to the Government of Jersey’s most recent update there has sadly been no relaxation in the numbers of people that are permitted to attend a mass gathering or event and there have been further restrictions placed on events with regards to welcoming visitors from overseas. • We have taken the extremely difficult decision to announce that all runners (including VIP runners) who are not residents of Jersey, will be automatically transferred into the Virtual Durrell Challenge 13K in 2020. • For local runners (Jersey residents only), we can confirm that we will be staging a 13K road race on Sunday 27 September* with capped numbers, to ensure that we comply with the Government of Jersey’s Level 1 restrictions that are currently in place. • We would like to thank all of our runners for their continued support and understanding during this difficult time. Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust work protecting threatened wildlife has never been more vital. Together, with your help, we can ensure a wilder, healthier, more colourful world for us all. • To read more 👉http://doitfordurrell.com/news/ • #doitfordurrell #ButterfieldJersey #DurrellChallenge2020 #DurrellChallenge #HenryCavill #Durrell #DurrellWildlife #conservation #fundraising #running #race #run #Jerseyci #VisitJersey #JerseyZoo #GiveWildlifeAFuture #VIP #charity #nature #animals #family #familyfriendly #familyfunday #sundayfunday #reallywildday #wild #activities
