Henry Talks Cavill Conservation, Rugby, Has Message For You

We have had the most amazing time, covering Henry's Durrell Wildlife fundraising event at the Siam Cup in his hometown of Jersey. He allowed us to interview him at the rugby match, and talked to us about Cavill Conservation, Durrell's work and why it's so important to him, and his love for rugby. He also had a message for you.

We have so much to share with you in the coming days, from our visit to Durrell Wildlife to exclusive pics and videos from the Siam Cup. In the meantime, check out our wrap.

Thank you so much Henry, our trip was unforgettable! - We look forward to supporting your charity work.

  1. Flanker! I wonder what that is?

Great interview, good questions and answers. Interviewer has a good voice and was very professional. I would have been a giggly mess.

    1. Per Wikipedia: Flanker is a position in the sport of rugby union. Each team of 15 players includes two flankers, who play in the forwards, and are generally classified as either blindside or openside flankers, numbers 6 and 7 respectively. The name comes from their position in a scrum in which they 'flank' each set of forwards. They fight for the ball– most commonly in rucks and mauls. Flankers also assist in pushing in a scrum, but are expected to detach from the scrum as early as possible in order to get to the play before the opposition's forwards. Flankers also participate in line-outs, either being lifted to contest or win possession, or to lift other players. Flankers are usually the key participants in the tackling process.Like other forward positions, flankers put more emphasis on strength than on speed.

    3. Thanks for the info. And now for the inevitable reply:

Henry can flank my scrum anytime.

      I had to say it!

  6. Glad Henry's having a great time in his home town of Jersey & I'm sure spending time with his family on his birthday (family time-very important), But, when is he coming back to the U.S. for speaking engagements on talk shows promoting his movies. ("Man From Uncle"). I'm guessing right b/4 August. Thank You, Eileen

  7. Thank you HCN! You asked Henry two of the questions I submitted. WOW! Thanks for all your effort in always providing videos, pictures and info on your site. It is much appreciated. I live in South Africa, so chances of Henry ever travelling this far south or me ever being lucky enough to see him in real life are pretty slim. Your site enables me to at least be able to follow this gorgeous man's career. Thanks.

  13. I'm watching this interview again, for a total of an embarrassing number of times. Wonderful questions and genuine excitement in the interviewers voice. He seems more than happy to be chatting with you as well.

Quick question though... what did he smell like?

I think it must be something like the woods, whiskey, maybe a little chocolatey, musky and a bit of glitter with unicorn sweat.

  14. Aww I just watched this video for the first time and I have to say my heart melted when he looked into the camera to thank his fans! you could tell it was heartfelt! it's Henry's down to earth character (besides the obvious good looks) that makes us all be huge fans. Great job with the interview! I can't wait for Batman vs. Superman already!
