Henry Honors Fallen Soldiers At FL Wreath Laying Ceremony

‪"Got to meet Henry Cavill at the wreath laying ceremony today, was a very cool guy."

Steve Sagonas hashtagged his photo, Superman.

As you know, Henry's commitment to The Royal Marines Charity comes from his deep respect for the military and connection to it (he has family members who have served). He feels very strongly about the need to help veterans (he told us about it at the Commando Challenge), and this photo at the Wreaths Across America event only solidifies that. The shirt he's wearing, is also made by a company that supports Veterans.

Go Henry.

P.S. You still have time to register for a chance to meet him in London. The money raised, will go to The RM Charity -- which supports sailors, marines and their families for life.

Fan Of The Month: A Real 'Superman' In The Making

We don't know his name or what he's been through, but you can see the determination in his eyes. As a journalist covering news stories on a daily basis one can become jaded, and then a picture like this one comes along to remind you why you do it. Every person has a story to tell. This powerful photo came to us via journalist SimplyShamime. It was taken in India by travel photographer High_Vibe_Photo, who shared the story behind the picture that really captured our hearts.

This boy wouldn't let me go without taking a photo of his t-shirt, and boldly claimed "I'll be a hero one day too." Back streets of Hyderabad, India.

This real Superman in the making is our fan of the month.

Henry "Polite & Courteous Like All Proper Chaps"

You know how much we love bringing you fan encounters. This one dates back a few years but it's just as sweet as the rest, and it comes with some never-before-seen pics. This is what the man who took the photos had to say, after meeting Henry at the Windsor Castle Concours of Elegance event in September of 2012 (via):

My wife and daughters get to grips with 29 year old Henry Cavill…..star of the next SUPERMAN film. He appeared to be brand ambassador for McLaren launching the new Spider
I liked him too… polite and courteous like all proper chaps.

Henry was actually at the event as an ambassador of the 'Make Britain GREAT' campaign. He was accompanied by the lovely Gina Carano. You can see the rest of the pictures in our gallery and check out the videos in our YouTube playlist.

Hot Couple: New Photos Of Henry & Gina At The Little Rock, AR Airport

sorry about y'all's flights thanks for the picture! Nice meeting y'all!

When UCLA star Xavier Su'a-Filo saw Henry and Gina at the Salt Lake City airport Sunday, he told us he was too scared to say hi, which we found very sweet coming from a big guy like him. Dre-Slay got his chance to meet them today at the Little Rock, Arkansas airport and shared this great pic on twitter. Thanks Dre!

Randall (r_d_k_93) also got a picture with Henry and shared his experience with us after meeting him:

Henry Cavill turned out to be a real nice guy. I didn't have much time to talk to him but he was willing to take a photo with me and introduce himself with a positive attitude. He seems like a pretty cool guy. His girlfriend was very sweet and pretty hot if I must say. Overall it was a cool and positive experience that I feel like most everyday people wouldn't encounter. I hope to see them back in Arkansas!

For anyone who thinks their life sucks, I was too busy at work tonight to notice I stood less than 10 feet from Henry Cavill.

Yeah.. that would have bummed us out as well. In case you're wondering, it looks like not even Superman was a match for the Polar vortex affecting most of the U.S. right now. Thousands of flights were canceled and it seems like Henry and Gina were stuck in that mess. Thanks for the pics and updates everyone and thanks Henry for always being so awesome with your fans.

Matthew Reeve About Henry: "I Think He Was Very Well Cast"

Entertainment Tonight had the chance to catch up with Christopher Reeve's son Matthew and he briefly mentioned Henry and what he thought about his take on the Man of Steel (at about 11:35):

“I think he was very well cast. And you know did a great job, I saw the movie and he was great.”

Dean Cain is another Superman that has a special place in our heart. Especially after the comments he made to Fox about Henry in Man of Steel (at about 3:20).

"I think Henry Cavill does a great job in the film" (..) "He does a great job as an alien who doesn't quite fit in here on earth."

But he really got us when he talked about Batman vs. Superman:

"Batman clearly has to cheat because there is no way he could even step up man to man against Superman. So we'll see what kind of devious tricks the man in black is up to, but I think Superman has to come out on top."

Dean, you had US at hello ;) WATCH THE INTERVIEW NOW.

Superheroes Doc, Man of Steel Q&A, Chris Young Loves Henry

If you missed the awesome superheroes documentary that aired on PBS this week, you can now watch all three parts online through the end of the month. Henry's Man of Steel is mentioned. Here's a little more on what you can expect.

The Man of Steel Facebook page has this message for fans:

In anticipation of the November 12 release, Director Zack Snyder will be sitting down with Michael Shannon (General Zod) to discuss all things Man of Steel.

Have a question for the duo? Ask in the comment thread or use #AskSnyder & #AskZod (on twitter) for a chance to have your question featured in the conversation.

We know Henry listens to country music singer Chris Young, after he mentioned him during our coverage from the Superman 75th anniversary party at Comic-Con. Chris was flattered by Henry's comments, and according to Country Weekly he's now embracing his nerdy side:

“I still read comic books. Me and my stage manager are actually big, you know, like Batman, Superman [fans],” Chris told ABC News Radio.

And Chris has found a modern way to enjoy ’em.

“There’s an app that you can get where you can buy new comic books that are coming out and read ’em on your phone. So, sometimes if I’m going on a plane, I’ll buy a couple comics and read ’em on a plane,” he said.

“That’s pretty nerdy. Probably not something a grown man should be doing. I don’t know.”

And finally don't forget to follow us on twitter this weekend, as we head down to the L.A. stadium where the first scenes of Batman vs. Superman will be shot. Exciting times ahead!

Henry later hit up the Assassin's Creed IV party on a docked ship.

The girls over at Defective Geeks ran into Henry at the party. Click at about 50:30 on their podcast for a lesson on what NOT to do, if you run into him and feel cheeky. Unless you want to be shut down (57:15) lol..

UPDATE: The girls have shared a cute new pic of Henry from that night, although we're not sure if it was before or after he pointed his two fingers at them and said... you HAVE TO listen to their podcast (57:15).
It's definitely a Comic-Con story to remember!

And don't miss our exclusive coverage from the party, including our chat with Henry
