Second 'The Man From U.N.C.L.E.' Trailer Hits U.S. Theaters!

UPDATE 6/9: While we're still waiting for U.N.C.L.E.'s trailer #2 to hit the web, one slugged #3 that runs 2 minutes and 30 seconds -- will reportedly be released in U.S. theaters this week. At this point we'll take #2, #3 or even better.. how about both!

UPDATE 6/10: @Canada_Panda reports that Entertainment Tonight teased "Behind the scenes" interviews with the cast of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. for tonight.

We'll keep you posted.

Thanks to the very awesome Spy Command blog, for giving us the heads up that the second trailer for The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is now playing in some U.S. theaters attached to San Andreas.

They shared the scoop on the NEW SCENES included in the teaser, and a couple of them involve Solo!

READ ALL ABOUT IT. If/when the new trailer is released online, you know you'll find it here first.

Also thanks to Laura Castelly, for letting us know that The Man from U.N.C.L.E. was highlighted by The New York Times as one of  "14 Movies Coming This Summer."

"A tip of the hat to Robert Vaughn. The devastatingly handsome Henry Cavill takes over the role of Napoleon Solo, with the hunky heir Armie Hammer as Illya Kuriakin, in Guy Ritchie’s remake. It’s 1963, and the agents’ big concerns are the Soviets, a missing H-bomb and one very interesting car mechanic, played by Alicia Vikander. With Hugh Grant and Jared Harris."

2 1/2 MONTHS TO GO... Get ready for Henry to leave you breathless..

Countdown To 'Batman v Superman' Event: Trailer Reaction

Aaaaand we're back! -- You know, after watching the first Batman v Superman trailer 10 or 100 times.. we lost count.

Uh huh.. and the excitement is far from over, as we count down to Monday's IMAX screenings across the U.S. and Canada. Especially, after director Zack Snyder revealed more new footage is on the way!

If you are among the lucky fans who are attending the IMAX event, here's what you're reportedly in for (spoiler alert). Just keep in mind, those plans were likely tweaked after the leak. Now back to the trailer, did you catch the Easter egg? -- Oh man, that bleeding reference makes us nervous :/

Image: Warner Bros/via @TRSDC

lol.. we love you guys. Also while watching the trailer 20 or 200 times, we couldn't help but think of how much work went into making Henry look like that iconic image above.

Of course the costume was the amazing work of Michael Wilkinson, who told us what a pleasure it was to work with Henry.

But it was also Henry's intense training under the guidance of Michael Blevins, who just exclusively talked to us about Henry's determination when preparing for his superhero role:

Henry is always looking to better himself, he wants to do bigger and better. It's not such a matter of, "I can get away with whatever because I've proven it once" -- It's coming back to be either stronger in reality and more fit in reality and looking better in reality, so that when it's proposed on the screen, it comes across that he's better and bigger and he's learned.

Don't miss Part 1 and Part 2 of our interview with Blevins, where he shares a lot of cool details about Henry's transformation into Superman

The reaction to Henry's new look as Supes was immediate, with fans clearly loving him in the trailer.

Bloggers loved the trailer too!.. and shared some details you might have missed, thanks to those "chiseled Cavills."

Wired:

At any rate, we’re pleased to announce that the 133-second clip has everything: your bestubbled Afflecks; your chiseled Cavills; your low-slung Batmobiles; your weird voiceover cameos from Charlie Rose and Neil Degrasse Tyson (and was that Tobey Maguire we heard?); your glowy-eye Batman suit; and of course, your many sundry and varied ’splosions. What it doesn’t have is a glimpse of Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman. Still, we’ll take the baby steps; there’s still more than a year to go before this thing hits theaters and the DC Cinematic Universe takes off in earnest.

Revolt:

Just like BeyoncΓ©’s self-titled 2013 album, the trailer to “Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice” popped up out of nowhere last night (April 15), and for the first time since the film was announced we see The Dark Knight and Man of Steel together sharing the same cinematic screen. The trailer to the Zack Snyder-directed film was originally intended to arrive on April 20, but seeing as how this is the digital era — a time when just about everything fails to go as planned — we got it early.

Den of Geek:

In case you missed the internet crack open like the fiery pits of Apokolips, the new Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice trailer is here, and it is quite the serious affair. Never before have fans seen the Dark Knight and Man of Steel share the same screen in live-action, but this trailer delivers exactly that plus plenty of clues for what to expect from the 2016 superhero grudge match. -- Continue reading -->> SPOILER ALERT territory.

Screen Rant also did a great job breaking down the details of the trailer and what was revealed. Their post is a MUST READ.

But it all comes back to the fans, and this Trailer Reaction Mashup pretty much sums up what we already knew: Batman v Superman is gonna be the movie of 2016!

We're headed to our IMAX screening on Monday, and we want to hear from you if you're going too!

So please tweet us/Instagram us/reach out on Facebook with your pics and reaction to the trailer, or leave your thoughts in the comments section. We're all about the support for Henry, and want you to be part of the conversation. Go Superman!

Batman v Superman: First 5 Seconds Of Trailer Coming Thursday

UPDATE 4/15: Looks like some fans are in for more of a trailer experience!

Variety:

Imax will premiere Warner Bros.’ first full-length trailer for “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” next Monday in some of its theaters, sources confirm.

The Celebration Cinema theater in Grand Rapids, Mich., disclosed the April 20 event as “Batman vs Superman IMAX Trailer Event.”
The running time for the event said “15 minutes.”

It looks like it's really happening this time!

Someone was mentioning today how the world of blogging is "cutthroat," and reading this scoop from Collider served as a perfect example..

The bottom line is WE'RE GETTING THE BATMAN V SUPERMAN TRAILER THIS WEEK!!.. or at least five seconds of it. According to Collider, the rest will come on Monday. Yes, THIS COMING MONDAY:

The early debut looks to be happening, as Latino Review’s El Mayimbe is reporting that the first five seconds of the trailer will be released online this Thursday, after which you’ll be able to sign up to watch the full trailer in a theater on Monday, April 20th. We can separately confirm Mayimbe’s story—in fact, Steve was in the middle of writing up this exact same scoop when Mayimbe broke the news.

Mayimbe also says that the Batman v Superman trailer will be attached to Avengers: Age of Ultron. We can’t confirm that part of the story, but it makes sense for Warner Bros. to want to get the trailer in front of as many eyes as possible.

Snyder will be unveiling the trailer preview on his Twitter account at 9am PST—an hour before the start of the big Star Wars: The Force Awakens panel at Star Wars Celebration. Sit on that for a second: the first footage from Batman v Superman will be unveiled an hour before new footage from Star Wars: Episode VII. We’ve got some big, big movies on the horizon people.

So there go our plans for the foreseeable future. It's now ALL about Henry in Shanghai, and then Henry in the Batman v Superman trailer... not a bad way to spend the week, right?

Squeeeee!

P.S.

Clearly we're now watching the boss LIKE A HAWK... Hi Zack!

Here Comes The Buzz: 'U.N.C.L.E.' On List Of Most Anticipated Trailers

We may have to wait more than two years (don't remind us) to see Henry in action as the Man of Steel, but in a little bit more than 10 months we'll be seeing him as The Man from U.N.C.L.E. -- and the press is starting to get excited (about time!). Total Film has put U.N.C.L.E. on its list of the '20 Upcoming Trailers They're Most Excited About,' and we LOVE what they had to say about the film & Henry:

Why We're Excited: Guy Ritchie takes on 60s-style superspies with charm and action in equal measure? That’ll do it for us, although the pairing of Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer as the TV show’s classic heroes Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin makes the whole project extra special.

What We're Hoping To See: Lots of tongue-in-cheek sparring, classic fisticuffs and a super 60s aesthetic.

Worry not Total Film, we hear there's plenty of that. Hopefully we get a glimpse in the trailer a little later this year. Can't wait.

Actor David McCallum played Illya in the original series, and while talking to The Daily Record he had this to say about the big screen adaptation:

"I’ll be fascinated to see it, and very interested to see how they succeed."

The Man from U.N.C.L.E. will open in the U.S. on January 16, 2015. France will reportedly get it January 21st, while in Spain the film is scheduled to be released February 6th. We'll keep updating the release dates as we get them. This is going to be a fun film, and we're looking forward to seeing Henry & Armie breathe new life into these iconic TV characters.
