Please Read: 'The Durrell Challenge' Update

Ollie Jones // Studio_M

It's been a tough year for Durrell's Jersey Zoo as the charity deals with the loss of revenue due to the pandemic. Now organizers of The Durrell Challenge have announced some big changes to the upcoming run. Please read below.

Further to the Government of Jersey’s most recent update there has sadly been no relaxation in the numbers of people that are permitted to attend a mass gathering or event and there have been further restrictions placed on events with regards to welcoming visitors from overseas. • We have taken the extremely difficult decision to announce that all runners (including VIP runners) who are not residents of Jersey, will be automatically transferred into the Virtual Durrell Challenge 13K in 2020. • For local runners (Jersey residents only), we can confirm that we will be staging a 13K road race on Sunday 27 September* with capped numbers, to ensure that we comply with the Government of Jersey’s Level 1 restrictions that are currently in place. • We would like to thank all of our runners for their continued support and understanding during this difficult time. Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust work protecting threatened wildlife has never been more vital. Together, with your help, we can ensure a wilder, healthier, more colourful world for us all. • To read more 👉http://doitfordurrell.com/news/ • #doitfordurrell #ButterfieldJersey #DurrellChallenge2020 #DurrellChallenge #HenryCavill #Durrell #DurrellWildlife #conservation #fundraising #running #race #run #Jerseyci #VisitJersey #JerseyZoo #GiveWildlifeAFuture #VIP #charity #nature #animals #family #familyfriendly #familyfunday #sundayfunday #reallywildday #wild #activities

You can still sign up for the virtual run and help Henry support Durrell and its mission to save endangered animals. Hear more from Henry and why this cause is so important to him in our interviews from The Durrell Challenge.

Hopefully, things start getting back to normal next spring and we can all take part in the race in person again!
