The Witcher: Big Casting Announcement, Latest From Set

The Witcher Season 2 casting announcements keep coming!

Kim Bodnia has been cast as Vesemir who is a father figure to Geralt.

Deadline:

"As one of the survivors of the Massacre at Kaer Morhen, a haunting slaughter that nearly exterminated the Witchers, he is fiercely protective of the remaining few, who he sees as an endangered community who can find glory on “the Path” slaying monsters."

The news was greeted with excitement by the newly formed TV Witcher family...

Showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich is hinting that Bodnia will be a key character in season 2, that's now filming in the UK:

“I have admired his unique talents in shows like Killing Eve and The Bridge, and cannot wait for him to bring strength, tenacity, and warmth to the character of Vesemir, who is such an integral part of our upcoming season.”

Bodnia does bear a striking resemblance to his game counterpart and we can't wait to see Vesemir interact with Geralt and the rest of the witchers. We'll probably also learn a lot more about him in the upcoming Witcher animated series, in which Vesemir plays the central character.

In the meantime, Ciri is back at work. Freya Allan showed off her dirty nails in her latest Instagram story.

From Henry, we got this pup update and we're always happy to see Kal.

Makeup artist Jacqui Rathore also shared a new pic from the UK set of the show.

We're staying on top of everything The Witcher Season 2, so keep checking back for our latest updates!

Zack Snyder's Latest Update On His Cut Of 'Justice League'

Director Zack Snyder is always surprising fans with big reveals involving his cut of Justice League. He's been running a contest looking for the best fan art and today he announced the prize... seemingly hinting at scenes yet to be shot that possibly involve Superman (Yes, he also could have just been joking).

Many fans have been pushing for Zack's version to be released and while we can only speculate on what comes next, today's post does seem to offer some hope.

The news comes on the day the world celebrates Superman's birthday...

We're still waiting for that cape to come out of the closet!

Edgar Wright, David Walliams Share Pics With Henry

How epic does that party look?

Director Edgar Wright posted this photo with Henry on his Instagram today.

It's unclear when or where it was taken but it sure looked like a fun night, with TV host David Walliams also sharing his pics from the bash.

Don't be jealous! (takes notes for next party: disco ball, chandeliers, barn).

We would love to see Henry work with Wright, whose work includes Baby Driver and Shaun of the Dead.  Fingers crossed.

No word if Henry has already started filming, but the media and locals have given us a glimpse of The Witcher set in the English countryside.

Season 2 of The Witcher is not expected to arrive until sometime next year (yes, we felt that sharp pain too) with the buzz for the show still going strong!
