You know we're in for some exciting times when Netflix begins promoting the movie and gives us a first look at Henry as Sherlock Holmes. No word yet on when Enola Holmes will be released on the streaming service but we'll keep you posted! -- UPDATE: The book's author giving us a clue!

Read the press release, which includes the full synopsis:

NETFLIX ACQUIRES LEGENDARY ENTERTAINMENT’S “ENOLA HOLMES” STARRING MILLIE BOBBY BROWN

Netflix has acquired global rights, excluding China, to Enola Holmes from Legendary Entertainment.

The film is based on Nancy Springer’s Edgar Award-nominated book series, The Enola Holmes Mysteries.

The book series, which began with The Case of the Missing Marquess in 2006, is comprised of six books in total. The first and fifth books in the series were nominated for Edgar Awards in 2007 and 2010, respectively.

Director: Emmy, BAFTA and Golden Globe-winner Harry Bradbeer (Fleabag, Killing Eve)

Screenwriter: BAFTA and Tony Award winner Jack Thorne (“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” “The Aeronauts”).

Producers: Legendary’s Mary Parent, Alex Garcia and Ali Mendes; Millie Bobby Brown and Paige Brown through their PCMA Productions shingle.

Executive Producers: Legendary’s Joshua Grode; Michael Dreyer; Harry Bradbeer

Cast: Millie Bobby Brown (Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Stranger Things), Sam Claflin (The Hunger Games films, Me Before You), Adeel Akhtar (The Big Sick, Les Miserables), Fiona Shaw (Killing Eve, Harry Potter films), Frances de la Tour (Into the Woods, Harry Potter films), Louis Partridge (Medici), Burn Gorman (Pacific Rim), Susan Wokoma (Crazyhead, Year of the Rabbit), with Henry Cavill (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Man of Steel, The Witcher), and two-time Oscar nominee Helena Bonham Carter (The Crown, The King’s Speech, The Wings of the Dove, Harry Potter films).

Synopsis: Based on the beloved Edgar-nominated book series, ENOLA HOLMES tells the story of Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes’ rebellious teen sister Enola, a gifted super-sleuth in her own right who often outsmarts her brilliant siblings. When her mother mysteriously disappears on her 16th birthday, Enola seeks help from her older brothers. But soon realizing they’re less interested in solving the case than in packing her off to finishing school, Enola does the only thing a smart, resourceful and fearless young 1880s woman can do… she runs away to London to find her. Meeting a cast of memorable characters along the way, Enola’s caught in the middle of a conspiracy that could alter the course of political history. ENOLA HOLMES puts a dynamic new female twist on the world’s greatest detective and his brilliant family.

The creative filmmaking team includes BAFTA-nominated director of photography Giles Nuttgens (“Hell or High Water,” “Collette”), Oscar-nominated production designer Michael Carlin (“The Duchess,” “Collette”), editor Adam Bosman (Netflix’s “The Crown”), and three-time Oscar-nominated costume designer Consolata Boyle (“Victoria & Abdul,” “Florence Foster Jenkins,” “The Queen”). The music was composed by Daniel Pemberton (“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” “Yesterday”).

Happy Birthday Superman! -- Zack Snyder Remembers His 'Man of Steel'

Director Zack Snyder has come through again with a very cool throwback to an iconic scene in Man of Steel, just in time to celebrate Superman's birthday!

Meanwhile, Lex Luthor (actually several of them)... not so thrilled, lol.

As for the Man of Steel himself, he's apparently been busy in the kitchen... Happy (belated) Birthday, Superman!

Social Media: Henry's Easter Post

In case you didn't know, Henry is a BIG geek. Today he shared a peek at what he's been doing since The Witcher went on hiatus because of the pandemic... and yes, it involves his love for video games.

Considering we are, both, going through the Easter period, and going through The Lockdown, I figured it a good time to put a silver lining onto the cloud that is some of the darker moments during this time. So I've decided to polish some old skills and try my hand at some new ones! It is a time of rebirth after all. So, as you can see here, the obvious might look a little bit like a tiny helmet...which it is. One of my almost life long hobbies, that I've been following but not actively doing, is this. A company called Games Workshop...or plastic crack as "we" call it. Genuinely can't get enough of the lore they have built over the decades. They have been some of my most enthused reads! If you were in denial about me being a geek before, you can't hide from it now. Also, in the background of this photo, there may just be some completely new skills I'm working on.....or there may not be, so all of your eye squinting and attempts at digital unfocusing will be in vain....orrrr maybe they won't. I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank, from the bottom of my heart, all of the NHS (National Health Service, here in the UK) and healthcare workers worldwide, for your unceasing efforts to protect us. I imagine it might be feeling a little rough right now, but you Ladies and Gents are absolutely smashing it! Keep it up! You got this. "Hold on a second", I hear you utter....."if he has both hands in the photo...how is he taking the photo??" New skills, my friends....new skills. #Easter #Passover #GamesWorkshop #ProperGeek #Custodes #NewSkills #NHS #ThankYou #Raggy?

His "plastic crack" skills... a welcome revelation to some.

We'd love to see his finished work!

Henry also thanked the NHS once again, for their commitment and bravery in the fight against Covid-19.

Have a safe Easter, everyone.

'The Witcher' S1 BTS, When Show Could Resume Production

"Damn ⁦he looks good in profile. Shooting one of opening scenes for ep 7"

As we wait for word on when The Witcher could resume filming on Season 2, director Marc Jobst has come through with this neat behind the scenes pic from S1.

Production on S2 was paused almost a month ago, around the time actor Kristofer Hivju announced on Instagram that he had tested positive for coronavirus (he's now recovering at home).

The cast has been in self-isolation like the rest of the world, sharing updates here and there. So when could we see them return to the set? -- Deadline Hollywood estimates that shows like The Witcher, may not resume production until at least July. It will likely depend on when the UK eases its social-distancing restrictions since that is where the series is being filmed.

According to Deadline, Netflix has begun paying minimum guarantees to regular cast members on its shows:

"I hear actors on series, which were filming or about to go into production at the time everything was put on hold, are receiving their minimum guarantees. That’s episodic fees for the minimum number of episodes each regular cast member is guaranteed on a show each season per their contract (it varies)."

Netflix's Ted Sarandos told CNN last month, that disruptions could come later this year:

"What’s happening now is we work pretty far ahead with delivering all the episodes of our shows at once so no disruption over the net few months, maybe later in the year as physical production is not operational."

For now, we wait. But fair warning to Henry, other Witchers are already training to take his place!

Stay home. Stay strong.

P.S. Check out this new video and article about the VFX that went into creating The Witcher. Both really good!

Fight Against Covid-19: Henry Thanks Health Workers In The UK

Last we heard from Henry, he was baking bread in self-isolation after The Witcher was forced to shut down production in the UK because of the spread of the coronavirus. Today, he appeared in a video by England's National Health Service, to thank health workers as they battle the disease.

Healthcare workers all over the world have emerged as the true heroes of this crisis, as they risk their lives while treating Covid-19 patients. We salute you as well.
