Mary Umby has shared these great new photos with Henry. She met him while he filmed The Man from U.N.C.L.E. in Rome earlier this month. Read her story below and check out the rest of the pics. Thanks for sharing Mary!

Hello!

Here we are to tell our little adventure with Henry. Henry is very helpful, kind, just a real star in addition to being even more attractive in person than he is on TV. Thanks to two of our friends, (..) we heard that Henry has lived for some time in Monterotondo right here where I live with my husband Umberto. On Saturday afternoon (..) I met Luca Calvani, who was also very kind in telling me that Henry had left just next to a pizzeria and that if I ran then I'd certainly meet him. After thanking him and taking a picture with him and Guy Ritchie, I ran (..) as soon as I saw it I could not believe my eyes... he was there! sitting at the bar eating a pizza along with an actor and his friend Gina Carano. We did not want to disturb him but he stepped forward first, asking us if we wanted to take a picture. We were all excited and my husband told him that we were coming from Monterotondo and you know what he said? "Monterotondo?? Really??” he'd been here in our country for three months, thirteen years ago because he had a girlfriend of Monterotondo! the world is really small! we cannot but be happy about this! thinking that something familiar to Henry binds us makes us happy! we talked about many things, we congratulated him for "Man of Steel” and for his career and then I also told him that I had come to Caprarola planning to visit him and he said he was sorry for not being in Caprarola and he said: “Sorry … ” I did not understand anything. I asked him if I could hug him and kiss him and he hugged me and gave me a kiss, I’ll never forget! - the nice thing that we are thrilled about is that when we spoke in Italian, he responded very well and understood us. It's been a wonderful experience! we then met again on the last day of filming in Rome, and as a gift we gave him a small calendar of Rome with a dedication. "To Henry, hugs and kisses, Umberto and Mariarosa from Monterotondo” and he was so happy that he asked me if the calendar was for him. Henry, really did not think that a person could be so human and genuine. We hope to see him again soon.

A greeting!

Mariarosa & Umberto

Halloween On The U.N.C.L.E. Set & Everyone Wants To Be 'Man of Steel'

'

  thisisechambers: Base camp Halloween #teamspirit

Now that we hear The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is about to wrap at its latest UK location, we can tell you Henry is filming at the Historic Dockyard in Chatham. Andrew Mackness owns a business there, and he talked to Kent Online about what he's seen in the last few days:

"They have been filming along Anchor Wharf. On Monday night they were filming a car chase and have built a set there. It's the only set they have built. They are using the Dockyard's buildings for the rest of it. They have put up German signs and lampposts around."

As we told you earlier this week, the scene appears to be a continuation of the car chase Henry and Armie filmed at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich. That was the last time we saw Henry on set. Check out our exclusives pics and don't miss the video of the chase they were about to film, gunshots included!

Interesting to note that director Guy Ritchie filmed part of both Sherlock Holmes films at the Dockyard in Chatham. As work at that location comes to an end, Armie's wife posted that top photo from base camp. So great of her to bring a homey feel to the set. Filming on U.N.C.L.E. continues this week.

medwayscott: Night shoots in the Dockyard. Easily the biggest crew I've seen here. They're everywhere! Still managed to walk the dog though.

And guess who rules when it comes to Halloween costumes? yes, go ahead and grin Henry..

Check out the rest of the BTS caps from the Man of Steel Blu-ray out 11/12.

Fandango's complete findings from its Halloween costume survey (via THR).

Top 2013 Movie-Inspired Costumes for Men:
1. Thor (Thor: The Dark World) 21%
2. Superman (Man of Steel) 13%
3. Iron Man (Iron Man 3) 13%
4. Ron Burgundy (Anchorman 2) 11%
5. Irving Zisman (Jackass Presents Bad Grandpa) 9%

And Production Weekly gave us all a Halloween treat, by sharing some Batman vs. Superman news last night.

BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN has opened a production office at Raleigh Michigan Studios in Pontiac. Patrick Tatopoulos on as Production Designer.

Tatopoulos is no stranger to Henry. He actually worked with him in Blood Creek (Special Effects Makeup). He was also the Production Designer for the sequel to 300, which was produced by Man of Steel director Zack Snyder.

A few more Man of Steel sweets for you to munch on this Halloween. Composer Hans Zimmer gave BuzzFeed an ALL access pass to his studio that you just have to check outAnd Superman Returns director Bryan Singer, has been talking Man of Steel and The X-Men: Days of Future Past trailer. Apparently he was inspired by Supes. Lastly, the official Man of Steel twitter just shared this new still from the film.

“You’re scared of me because you can’t control me...but that doesn't mean I'm your enemy."

The Groovy Parade of Cars Continues: U.N.C.L.E. Filming Tonight

UPDATE: New pics of Henry filming tonight (via). Yes, they're blurry.. we don't care ;)

Henry was reportedly in that car..

It looks like he's in the back

You can see director Guy Ritchie talking to the driver in this shot

And how is this for a cool lookin' camera vehicle on the latest set of The Man from U.N.C.L.E.?

MedwayScott: Bit of filming going on tonight and this is the pursuit car and camera rig for the car chase. Awesome.

We hear filming is about to wrap at this location, and so far there have been no Henry sightings as Napoleon Solo. The last time he was spotted was Friday, as the cast and crew shot the start of the chase that they continue working on tonight.

New Super Suit for Henry? + The Best Autograph & The Man of Steel is One Popular Brit!

UPDATE: This just in tonight..

BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN has opened a production office at Raleigh Michigan Studios in Pontiac. Patrick Tatopoulos on as Production Designer.

Henry has been pulling double duty in London, as he films The Man from U.N.C.L.E. while working out for the Man of Steel sequel. And as the official start of production gets closer (we had some filming in L.A.), the news and rumors are increasing. Here's a little wrap to get you caught up.

Behind the scenes cap from the Man of Steel Blu-ray. Check them ALL out.

First off, The People's Choice Awards are now taking votes that will determine the nominees in 54 categories, and Henry & Man of Steel have made the pre-list in three of them. You can vote for them in Favorite Movie, Favorite Action Movie, and for Favorite Action Movie Star. You can also write-Henry in as a nominee for Favorite Movie Actor. The official nominees will be announced November 5th. So let's get those final votes in before Thursday October 31st. The poll will close at 11:59 PM, EDT. The People’s Choice Awards air Jan. 8 at 9 p.m. EST on CBS. VOTE FOR HENRY NOW.

The main reason we enjoy supporting Henry, is because of moments like these. Steven and his friend Adam met him as he stopped by 'The Katie Show' while promoting Man of Steel. Read more about their experience.

And how cute is THIS??!!

misstashaevans: Aww my little nephew Kallel got an autograph from Henry Cavill.

#superman #manofsteel #nephew#family #autograph #bless #DCComics

When you see those pictures and read the fan stories, it's not hard to see why Henry comes in at #24 (behind Daniel Radcliffe and ahead of former Batman Christian Bale) as one of the most popular Brits in the U.S. That's according to The Sunday Times. Check out who else is included and how the survey was compiled.

Ohhh.. and we see Ben Affleck is trying to give Supes some competition on the muscle department. Nice try Batfleck. Henry still rules! (exhibit 1/2/3) and is currently preparing to kick your butt ;)

Not only that..

Who would you want beside you during a devastating blackout?

The Sacramento Bee:

While Ben Affleck is gearing up to play Batman in the Superman sequel, it's still the Man of Steel himself (played in this summer's blockbuster by Henry Cavill) who is the superhero most trusted by more than half the nation (52%) to protect the U.S. in case of a catastrophic blackout.

Surprisingly, Americans have little faith in the abilities of seemingly more tech savvy and ingenious engineer Tony Stark to get the power grid back online, as Ironman comes in at a distant second (14%).

Now the big question is, will Henry be wearing the same Superman suit when he comes to our aid. There is a rumor going around that his suit is being revamped for the sequel. Now, Henry has said he wouldn't mind some adjustments in the "get me out of the suit faster so I can pee dept." but this is the first news we get that it could actually be happening. Here's what comicbookmovie.com is reporting:

My source tells me that Henry Cavill just received a copy of David Goyer's script last week, and that you can expect alterations to Superman's costume, as there are "two separate teams working on the suits."

Uhmm.. Zack.. do NOT mess up the gorgeous. Please and thank you.

They throw in some tidbits on Ben's costume, as well as more on the alleged design of the new Batmobile. Read the rest.

And the Man of Steel official twitter posted a pic of this cool prop a few days ago. But is it meant to be more of a teaser? we can't wait for more news to come out on the sequel!

Special Edition Daily Planet.

In the meantime, the U.S. release of the Man of Steel Blu-ray/DVD is getting closer. And just looking at the behind the scenes promo videos, we are counting down the seconds until we have it in our hands. Here are the list of places where you can buy it, & read about the extras it comes with.

More SUPER news to come!

Post-Storm Update: Henry Back On The Set Of U.N.C.L.E.

 Photos: Andrew Mackness

Cameras were rolling tonight on the latest set of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. - and if the setup looks familiar, that's because it appears what they are filming is a continuation of the car chase scene in Greenwich last week (check out our exclusive photos and video). You can see some of the same cars in the pictures. A major storm passed through the area overnight, but it doesn't appear to have caused damages or a production delay. Carry on Solo!

You Can See It In Their Smiles, Lucky Fans Meet Henry In London

melkmel: We ran into #superman #henrycavill (..) in #London
He is a #beautifulman #manoftsteel

We recognize the Gym Jones shirt.. perhaps a late night workout? we wouldn't be surprised! - Henry appears to been working out whenever he gets a chance (exhibit 1/2/3), now that production on the Man of Steel sequel is getting closer. But he's also been working literally non-stop on the set of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. - talk about commitment. Now it looks like he did get a bit of a break, with BodosSchloss proudly reporting he was one of their VIP guests this past weekend.

New Week, New UK Set For The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

UPDATE: Night photos of what appears to be filming on set (Thanks Andrew).

We spy Solo's car..

Fake bullets were flying on the Greenwich set of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. earlier this week (see our exclusive video & pics), and it seems like the car chase will pick up at this new UK set. Crews have been spotted getting everything ready to go. Now there is the little problem of Hurricane-force winds expected to pass through the area overnight and into tomorrow. Uhmm, Solo.. you may need those Superman muscles you've been building to hold on tight. Updates as we get them.
