'M:I Fallout' Wins Best Action Movie At Critics' Choice Awards

Congratulations to the cast and crew of Mission: Impossible Fallout. Last night the film was named Best Action Movie  at the Critics' Choice Awards! 

Director Chris McQuarrie took to Twitter to gives thanks for the award immediately after it was announced.

The Critics' Choice nominations were announced today, and Mission: Impossible Fallout is up for Best Action Movie and Best Visual Effects.

Critics' Choice Awards Tonight: Our Thoughts in Gifs

We're not gonna tell you we weren't disappointed when we first heard Henry wouldn't be attending the Critics' Choice awards tonight, where he's nominated for 'Best Actor in an Action Movie.'

We were SO ready for a repeat of last year's show. Henry is not able to make it because he's busy preparing for Man of Steel 2. As we wallowed in sadness, one of our twitter followers put it all in perspective.

Win Or Lose, Why The Critics' Choice Nod Is A Big Boost For Henry

When you think about the key emotional moments in Man of Steel, it's pretty clear why Henry is nominated for a Critics' Choice award. Win or lose tomorrow, his nomination for 'Best Actor in an Action Movie' is no doubt a big boost for Henry's career and a well deserved one. So what makes the Critics' Choice nod such a big deal? Studio System News can tell you. Today organizers released the list of nominees expected to attend the awards show and Henry's name is not on it. When we reached out to his reps on Friday, we were told Henry probably wouldn't be able to make it because of his Man of Steel sequel work commitments. We'll let you know if we get an update. BBC Jersey's Kevin Pamplin confirmed the news. Either way, make sure to tune in to the CW tomorrow at 8 p.m. EST to cheer for Henry!

Three Weeks From Today: Critics' Choice Hottie Alert

Yes, we're still doing our happy dance after learning that Henry has been nominated for a Critics' Choice Award for his performance as Superman.   

While we still don't know whether Henry will be attending (he's busy training for Man of Steel 2 in Salt Lake City), clearly we're excited about the possibility of seeing him there.

 

Henry was a presenter at the last ceremony in Santa Monica this year and we can't wait to hopefully see him walk down the carpet again next month, this time as a nominee. Three weeks from today, this could be what we're in for..

Henry attended January's awards show with the lovely Gina Carano, who was nominated for her role in Haywire. Amy Adams was also at the ceremony and is expected to be there this year, since she's nominated for her role in American Hustle.
