Henry on Training For The Witcher, Bond Possibility, More

The Telegraph chatted with Henry while he was in Venice a few months ago, and they've just published the new interview with him.

You can read it on their site, which you have to register for or below.

When actor Amy Adams was asked about her Man of Steel co-star Henry Cavill’s chiselled looks, she gushed that they were “a little distracting”. Clapping eyes on him for the first time you understand exactly what she meant. The guy is tremendously well put together.

We’re in Venice in late summer, on the private island of San Clemente, where he’s trying on Jaeger-LeCoultre watches for size, becoming the living, breathing embodiment of the Swiss watchmaker’s brawny Polaris Man pitch – it is the sportiest model in the Swiss house’s firmament – in his guise as “friend of the brand”.

Henry has been perfect as Will Shaw, as Superman, as Napoleon Solo, as August Walker, The Witcher etc, etc...and would certainly be perfect as James Bond.

  8. James bond can also be a woman remember their a secret agent!

  9. I don't want James Bond to be a female. Make up another story/franchise where the super spy is a female. Let James Bond be true to Ian Fleming's vision. Henry would be ideal for the part.

    1. Fair point but I think a woman would be a great choice. Yes Henry would be a great choice but I feel their going to either pick Elba or perhaps an unknown.

  10. Hey, I was talking to my husband and we think that making James Bond into a female role would be a HUGE mistake! And, just another money laundering for making a low budget movie and capitalizing on a poor turn out. Keep James Bond as is! It is an iconic role and if the movie is made well (that is the key) with Mr. Cavill as the part monetarily will bring in a lot more and create wonderful entertainment for families across the globe! We've been disappointed there has not been an actor since capable of meeting Sean Connery/Roger Moore's appeal - Mr. Cavill definitely has that effortless charm plus with his cinematic experiences in his biography can exceed expectations. Not to mention his wry sense of humor!

The reason why the movies coming out today are not doing well is because of how fake they look. If they'd go back to a more simple style with less sensationalism, I know more people will be interested and the approval ratings higher. We are old movie lovers and like a good story line with a natural setting - and in a James Bond movie .Swiss Alp ski slopes/train scenes on the Euro rail, Mediterranean Sea beach scenes with exceptional scenery, etc is appealing! Or a Russian element. With a compelling antagonist and some smart women. It really comes down to an amazing Producer and Director to pull off another James Bond movie that has all the exciting elements. And, we hope to see Henry Cavill on the Big Screen as 007!

    1. I totally agree with you. I commented above in an earlier comment about keeping it classic. I am female and a feminist so me saying that James Bond should be kept a male isn't sexist. Have a female spy and call her something else. I also feel that the movie shouldn't be a special effects movie as too much of it doesn't feel believable. Great locations, suspense, and a smart British gentleman is what I would consider classic. Although I always liked Sean Connery in the role, I think that time period is now way too sexist.

    2. Thanks for your reply.. personally, I feel that there was an innocence back in the days of Sean Connery and today that's been lost. To return to that sweetness, hinting at sex or alluding to it in a classy fun way is pleasurable not this overtness we see today.

James Bond characteristically is a lady's man. He can't help his allure. There is nothing wrong with that. I am grateful for a man like that on Earth. Thank God - he is God's gift to us. Let us appreciate him! He is rare. A smart British gentleman equals Henry Cavill. His charisma will keep these movies "classic"!
