'Batman v Superman' Set Exclusives: Henry Cavill In Downtown Detroit

The Jedi robe is back!

Earlier this week, we brought you a first look at Jesse Eisenberg on the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice set as well as some great candids of Henry and the rest of the cast. They were filming at the old Wayne County Courthouse in downtown Detroit and photographer R. Chiang was there. Now we have more from those days on set, that turned rainy at some point. Henry had to use an umbrella to protect his Superman suit despite the fact that we know that costume can take an icy bucket.. or six. While the ALS Challenge provided us with the best look so far at Henry's suit, these pictures give us a bit of a glimpse at the detail in the back. Just yesterday costume designer Michael Wilkinson told us what "an honor and inspiration" it's been to work with Henry. We can't wait to see the full suit in action during those fight scenes!

Detroit Update: Megan Shares Her Hot Photo With Henry

mrsmegsmason: "Just had drinks with Henry Cavill aka Superman. The small town girl in me was too excited not to ask for a picture."

Megan added that Henry's trainer, Michael Blevins works out at the same place as her, so Henry tags along on some of the group's outings and dinners. Lucky Crossfit group!

Michael recently placed third in the Pure Michigan Invitational. You can see pictures from that event which Henry attended, in our wrap from that day.

No more than a couple of days go by, without us hearing about some lucky fan who met Henry in Detroit. This time it was Mark Woert's family who got a chance to chat with him. Mark adds that Henry was "good enough" to give his son an autograph and take a photo with him. We'd expect nothing less from Superman. Thanks for sharing Mark!

We've been following costume designer Michael Wilkinson's work, long before Man of Steel and Batman v Superman. So of course when he became involved in the films, we couldn't have been happier. After seeing both of Henry's updated looks, we reached out to thank him for his awesome designs (although he's humble enough to tell you it takes a village). He replied by sharing some lovely comments about working with Henry. It echoed what he said about him, when we chatted with him as he got ready to head to Detroit.

We wish Michael nothing but the best, and can't wait to see the rest of his work in Batman v Superman. Just a year and a half to go!
