'Batman v Superman' Composers Watching Film Today

WHAT??.. someone is watching Supes on the big screen today and it's NOT US???!!!

It's alright,  no need to restrain us..

Junkie XL has been keeping us updated on the progress of the score for the film and the trailer..

And how awesome is he?.. Tom is also taking the time to slowly kill us with his teasing..

So we're calling it a sulky Tuesday and we'll cry if we want to.. pretty much until the trailer comes out with Mad Max: Fury Road, May 15. And don't even TRY and make us smile.. dammit Supes, even angry you look cute.

UPDATE: Warner Bros. has put a stop to Tom's tweets (like someone here suggested earlier)..

The replies made us laugh out loud for a few minutes. Now we're back to pouting until the trailer comes out :)

We Love The Holidays, We Dread The Holidays..

We knew it was too good to be true. While the holidays are a time for family and friends, they also mean news slows TO. A. CRAWL.
The result? **look away Henry** -- DC variant covers are ALL the rage online, because what else is there to do than imagine the members of Justice League in Magic Mike?..

Hey, it was DC's timing not ours.

So as we try to survive the excruciating pain of no Henry sightings wait for Batman v Superman news (and we don't mean LEAK THE WHOLE PLOT news #partypoopers), here are a few gifs to keep us going. For at least a day or two.

Don't forget to send us your Christmas message for Henry, deadline is coming up!

Oh Boy, This Wait Is Gonna Be Painful

We have been so busy covering the last few weeks of Batman v Superman filming, that for a minute we forgot what was coming after production wrapped. This weekend opened our eyes to the brutal reality: We're still 1 YEAR, 3 MONTHS, AND (about) THREE WEEKS away, from the Batman v Superman release.

OH

MY

GOD

So hold on tight to your copy of  Man of Steel and enjoy the Supes #giflove, because this wait is gonna be painful.. (that smile does make it a million times better).

Who Can Forget Mike & Evan? - 'FearNet' Highlights Henry's Horror Flicks

Today FearNet mentioned Henry, in an article titled: '10 celebrities You Forgot Were In Horror Films:'

Long before he took to the skies as Superman in Zach Synder's 'Man Of Steel,' Henry Cavill was floating between various projects both on television and on the big and little screen. But did you know that he shares a screen credit with Pinhead? That's right, Cavill was in the direct to video sequel 'Hellraiser: Hellworld,' that forgettable entry that took place in a sleazy nightclub where people wore white masks and Pinhead is resurrected by the Internet. Who would've thought the douchey guy getting a hummer on a couch by a masked woman would one day go on to be the world's greatest superhero? But it's true! (Go to You Tube for the evidence.) But hey, Lance Henriksen is in this one too, so there's that! Also of note, both Cavill and Michael Fassbender also appeared in Joel Schumacker's underrated nazi zombie horror flick 'Blood Creek!'

Here's the thing, we never forgot about Evan in Blood Creek, how could you?

As for 'Hellraiser: Hellworld,' we feel a gif appreciation post will do Mike's role justice. Normally we play it pretty safe on the blog, but you may not want to have this page open at work.. you've been warned!

Yes, Mike may have been a "douchey guy" like FearNet puts it, but he sure could bat those eyelashes for the camera.

Add to that the loose curls..

and the pouty lips..

we're already sold, and then he throws in the lip biting..

here's THE scene and what can we say, the guy can multitask.

time for a smoke..

and then it reeeeally gets steamy.. seriously.. who can forget THIS.

We'll end our show-and-tell here, because it doesn't go so well for Mike in the next scene. You can see more of  Henry in Hellraiser: Hellworld on our YouTube playlist. So to wrap things up, you can call Mike a douche all you want FearNet, but he'll never be forgettable ;)

We Have A Lex For Our Supes: What We Learned From The Twitter Reaction

It certainly came out of left field..

Meet your new Lex Luthor! Warner Brothers announced today that Jesse Eisenberg has been cast as the villain in the YET TO BE NAMED (yes, we're using all caps psst.. Warner) Man of Steel sequel. Jeremy Irons will play Alfred. As you can expect, reaction to Eisenberg's casting in the iconic role was mixed.

After the dust settled, we decided to point out fun facts we learned on twitter today. Some of the criticism directed at Jesse (we're on a first name basis now) was that he looks too young to play Lex opposite Henry as Superman. But as many of you pointed out, they are the same age (30).

And yes..

LEX LUTHOR IS A HIPSTER.

But that may be exactly what director Zack Snyder is looking for. This is him describing his casting choice in the press release:

Lex Luthor is often considered the most notorious of Superman’s rivals, his unsavory reputation preceding him since 1940. What’s great about Lex is that he exists beyond the confines of the stereotypical nefarious villain. He’s a complicated and sophisticated character whose intellect, wealth and prominence position him as one of the few mortals able to challenge the incredible might of Superman. Having Jesse in the role allows us to explore that interesting dynamic, and also take the character in some new and unexpected directions.”

Unexpected directions?.. we like!, after all that's where Zack took Man of Steel and look where we are now. Entertainment Weekly makes a great case for Jesse as Luthor, so give them a read

One thing we found pretty interesting, is that Henry's publicist is very much in the business of representing DC superheroes and their counterparts.

Publicist to the stars Jennifer Allen now reps the Old Batman (Bale), the new Superman (Cavill) and the new Luthor (Eisenberg). BRAVO!

Go Jen! (as we ponder if we made the wrong choice by going into news writing instead of publicity).

So far 2014 has been a roller coaster ride for fans, but we have to say we are enjoying every second of it. And then there's this.

Best thing that ever happened to and the universe was this delay.

There's always a silver lining. Keep up with everything Man of Steel 2 in this handy link we've put together for you. Stay tuned for the latest out of Detroit, where Henry is now preparing to become the Man of Steel once again.. beard included we hope ;)
