Photographer Patrick Giardino was in charge of Henry's new shoot for Men's Health, and here are the outtakes he shared on his site (don't miss the rest). You can find Henry's candid interview with the magazine and the pics that came with it in our wrap.
Henry just returned from Brazil, which was the last stop in The Man from U.N.C.L.E. press tour. In no time he'll be getting ready to become Superman again, with pre-production on Justice League expected to begin in January.
In the meantime don't miss U.N.C.L.E. when it comes to your city, it's a blast!
Henry just wrapped up the press tour for The Man from U.N.C.L.E.in Brazil, but the film has yet to open in several countries, including Singapore where it will be released September 3rd. Panama and Argentina get it today.
Go out and watch it! -- It's a super entertaining spy film with a killer soundtrack, and Henry is spot on as Solo ;)
It looks like Henry is back home for a bit, after wrapping up the latest round of promotion for The Man from U.N.C.L.E. that opened this weekend in the U.S. and the UK. But he won't be in London for long! -- Henry and Armie are headed to Brazil to promote the film in Rio next week.
If you've been following us on twitter, you know people are loving The Man from U.N.C.L.E. -- and while it got off to a slow start in the U.S., it was #1 at the box office in Russia / UPDATE:It was #3 in the UK (final numbers are in) and is doing good business in other countries as well. Warner Brothers believes the film may just be taking its time finding its American audience:
“Guy Ritchie made a terrific picture, but unfortunately it didn’t catch the audience this weekend,” said Jeff Goldstein, Warner Bros. distribution executive vice president. “We know the older audience doesn’t come out on the first day, so hopefully they will find the movie over the next couple of weeks.”
Read the rest of the weekend box office breakdown at Variety/Deadline. According to Deadline, the studio is also counting on several key markets where U.N.C.L.E. will be released in the next month-and-a-half. Countries where the film is set to open this coming week include Greece, Belgium, Czech Republic, Croatia and the Netherlands.
We thought we had seen the hot cover of Henry in the next issue of Men's Fitness magazine. But we're guessing this is a different version (style issue). We'll figure it out for you, and bring you all the scans when the magazines hit newsstands. In the meantime, check out the preview of Henry in Men's Health magazineas well. We have a feeling there are more covers to come.
The scans are in for the original Men's Fitness, and you don't want to miss the interview. Henry talks uncomfortable moments on the set of The Tudors, mentions where he stands on a potential role as Bond, and what he's doing until Justice League starts filming (according to the magazine in early January). Don't miss it!
These are the different shots from the style issue. We'll have them in better quality soon.

On His Childhood:
Believe it or not, Cavill was not one of the popular kids in his school growing up. Instead, the actor admits he was teased for his weight. “They used to call me fat Cavill,” he tells the magazine. “I was a prime target for them. I actually had rolls of fat on me. One guy told me I had tits.” “I was a big eater, and I still love food,” he continued. “I’m still an indulger, in alcohol, in food, in all things that I enjoy in life. I’ve never been able to do things in half measures. That’s probably why I was a fat kid. They also called me a ‘lemon,’ a guy who gets nowhere with the girls.”
On His Dating Life:
“American Dating is like carpet bombing,” Cavill, a proper British boy, jokes. “You date 16 women all at once and eventually one of them is supposed to pop out of the crowd? I can’t do that.”
“I’m 32 years old,” he said. “I do want to find a wife and raise a family. I prefer the British way: get talking and see what happens, one at a time.”
If that doesn't make you fall in love with him..(by your reactions: mission accomplished).
@HenryCavillNews this issue will sell out!!!! Love him more 3Times!!!!!
He may have already conquered television in hit drama series The Tudors and Hollywood action films with his Superman debut, but Henry Cavill isn’t ready to stop just yet. His upcoming film, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., is a whole new challenge for the even-tempered Brit, as he portrays a cynical thief-turned-spy.
More details and full scans as we get them. The issue goes on sale August 10!
The Man from U.N.C.L.E. press junket is wrapping up in London (catch the latest), and here is a first look at the cast/director/producers at the photocall. More to come!
"It's summer and wearing a suit—even if you're an actor shilling for a forthcoming film—seems downright dreadful. Cavill found a solution by, well, dropping the suit and going for a subdued summer take on formal. This means a lightweight crewneck sweater in navy with slightly darker pants, a contrast that breaks up the monotony of monochrome but still feels right for the occasion."
