It's that time of the year again (2016 is flying!), when Glamour UK opens up the voting for its Sexiest Man of the Year. We don't have to tell you who we think should win (and regain his title), just read what the experts have to say..

'Justice League' Filming Update: Iceland Location Revealed


This week has kicked off with a cool Justice League production update. According to the official travel guide to the Westfjords of Iceland, the cast and crew are headed there after filming reportedly wraps in London this month:

The shooting of Justice League, the latest DC-Comic series will start in the Westfjords of Iceland in October or November. Djúpavík village will be the main set of the movie in Iceland but parts of the movie are also being shot in England and Scotland. Djúpavík is a small village with two inhabitants throughout the year, but more during summertime. 


Ásbjörn Þorgilsson, one of the owners of Hótel Djúpavík is expecting a crew of at least 200. He also says that during the shooting of the movie, Hótel Djúpavík is being rented to the movie makers and also there will be a cruise ship in the fjord for the actors and staff to live in.

There is no word on which actors are part of the shoot, but we'll continue to update you as news comes in.

"He's Everyone's Biggest Cheerleader On Set" Amy Talks Zack


If you're an HCN reader, you know we're always cheering for director Zack Snyder. Not only did he choose Henry to be Superman (reason enough), he also gave us a more realistic version of Supes that we can relate to.


Recently Amy Adams had some really nice things to say about Zack. She talked to Variety about working with the Justice League director, while promoting Arrival at the Telluride Film Festival. She mentioned why she has such deep respect for him: "Depending on what an actor needs, Zack kind of adjusts."

Back to Zack choosing Henry, the director talked to MTV about his decision back in 2011. The runner up?.. Joe Manganiello who has been cast as Deathstroke in the next Batman film.


Justice League is currently filming outside of London. It remains to be seen if Manganiello makes an appearance in the film (our guess is yes), and whether he has any scenes with Superman.

Commando Challenge: Henry's New Message For You


It seems like just yesterday, that Henry was crossing the finish line at the Durrell Challenge in Jersey. Now we're just a month away from seeing him take on what could be his toughest race to date, as he prepares to participate in the Commando Challenge.

Henry has been raising money for the charities involved on his JustGiving page, and he's posted a new message for you:

Thank you all so much for your donations they are very much appreciated by both me and The Royal Marines Charity. As you can see we have smashed our original target so I'm going to be cheeky and raise the target for this well-deserved charity. What do you say?! 

Henry reached his initial goal in just a week, and already he's at more than 50 percent of his raised target.

Another way to get involved is to join Henry in the Commando Challenge, but if you can't make it we'll be bringing you updates as the big day gets closer. And look for an exciting giveaway in the next few weeks!

'Justice League' Cast Shows Support For Cause, Filming Update


As you know Henry is an ambassador for Durrell Wildlife and The Royal Marines Charity. But he's not the only Justice League star bringing attention to a worthy cause. His costars took a break from filming, to send a message of support to those opposing the Dakota Access Pipeline. You can learn more at sacredstonecamp.org.

One thing we've learned from watching the behind-the-scenes moments that this cast has shared with the public, is that they seem to get along pretty well. Now J.K. Simmons has confirmed that, while giving Entertainment Tonight an update on filming:

 My part is done. They are filming that for basically most of 2016, so some of the superheroes are still at work in jolly old London, but I'm back home with my family.

Playing Commissioner Gordon, I assume that most of your scenes are with Ben Affleck's Batman? But did you get to play around with anyone else on the team?

Yeah, mostly with Ben. In this first installment of the Justice League, Commissioner Gordon is not a particularly sizable part. We just kind of introduce him and see a little bit of his interactions with Batman -- and with most of the Justice League. That was a really fun set. Zack [Snyder] runs sort of a big, happy family and it's obviously, in many ways, a very different work environment when you're working on a big, giant movie like that than a relatively small movie like The Meddler. But at the end of the day, the director is the one who sets the tone. And one of the things that Zack and Lorene have in common is they're just nice, smart, competent, fun people that you don't mind spending a 12-hour day with.

Henry is likely not done filming his part, since he was still doing some training for it down in Florida last week.

UPDATE 9/8: Just days after Ben Affleck teased Deathstroke's appearance in the DCEU, Geoff Johns has confirmed to the Wall Street Journal that the role is being played by Joe Manganiello. READ MORE.

Supes "Deeply Pondering His Next Shot" In Man of Steel BTS

L.A. based photographer Mamie McCall, today has a treat for Man of Steel fans. She's been posting the photos she took on set, when the movie was filming in California. 

This was the scene where Superman brings down a spy drone trying to track his whereabouts. It was shot in the Mojave Desert.




McCall also took pics inside an Edwards Air Force Base hangar where some of these scenes were shot.

U.N.C.L.E. Auction: Solo's Vespa & Gaby's Dress Could Be Yours


The Man from U.N.C.L.E. remains a favorite among fans of the spy genre, and now some of the props and costumes used in the film are going on the auction block. They include Solo's Vespa!  

Here is Henry and Armie rehearsing for their big scene on it..



 "Napoleon Solo's (Henry Cavill) Vespa scooter from the action-comedy The Man from U.N.C.L.E., directed by Guy Ritchie. The CIA agent rode his scooter through the streets of Rome early in the movie as he, Illya (Armie Hammer) and Gaby (Alicia Vikander) began their undercover assignment, including their dramatic chase through the Italian streets."

You remember this funny moment between Solo and Illya.. now you can own those "bugs."


"A set of six CIA and KGB bug devices from the action-comedy The Man from U.N.C.L.E., directed by Guy Ritchie. Agents Solo (Henry Cavill) and Illya (Armie Hammer) each discovered the other agent's bugs had been planted in their hotel rooms in Rome."


Gaby's sunny dress is also being sold to the highest bidder..


"Gaby Teller's (Alicia Vikander) dress from the action-comedy The Man from U.N.C.L.E., directed by Guy Ritchie. The young undercover MI6 agent wore her dress throughout the latter part of the film. This dress' unique pattern placement and stitching can be screen-matched to the scenes prior to her arrival inside the underground Vinci Guerra bomb laboratory."

Henry Shows Us Some Of His Jiu-Jitsu Training In Florida


Nice moves, Supes!

Henry spent part of his time in Florida perfecting his Jiu-Jitsu skills, and today he shared this update. On Thursday some of his youngest fans also got to hang out with him. Henry has been training in the martial art and combat sport since earlier this year, as he prepared to return to his role in Justice League that's now filming at the WB studios outside of London.

Henry Reaches 'Commando Challenge' Fundraising Goal

Superman Training: Henry With Fans In Florida Today

It looks like Henry has not only been fitting in some time at the beach, but also some training into his Florida trip. These lucky fans got to work out with him while he's there.

Durrell Babies, The Silverback Ball, Keep Voting For Henry!


There is always something happening at Durrell Wildlife, and this past week it's been all about the babies!

Durrell has shared a really cute video of Badongo showing Indigo some fighting moves.  

The gorillas are part of Henry's adopted family at Durrell, and you can adopt them too at cavillconservation.com.

Coming up on September 17, The Silverback Ball will raise money for the Conservation Trust.


And while Indigo seems ready to take down his dad in a wrestling match, Raymi is taking his time!


The bear cub was born at Durrell at the beginning of the year, and is just now getting used to his surroundings. There is also an adorable new Aye-aye at the park..

Durrell is trying to ensure that generations to come will get to enjoy these beautiful endangered animals. That's why we think it's so important for Henry to win the Celebrity Fundraiser of the Year at the JustGiving Awards.


PLEASE VOTE FOR HIM to spread the word about the charity's work around the world, and to get him recognized for the amazing job he's done as their ambassador.
