Now that this set has wrapped, we can tell you it was filmed at Rome's Teatro di Marcello. Some lucky Italians shared their pics when they came up on the set last night. Learn more about this historic site.
Daisy C. was there and got to see Henry on set. She shared her account and pictures with us:
I had the chance to look around the set of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. on October 8th. The space where they filmed was surrounded by ancient columns and walls of the archaeological park near the Roman Ghetto area, so I could see Henry just from a distance. He saw me, I waved to him and he waved back before they started shooting. But he was very focused so no smile for me. I think it is better to not disturb him when he is on set. :-)
I also saw him during breaks because the first scene only involved Armie and Alicia. He must have worked until the early hours of the morning!
Although it was from far away, it was interesting to see Henry working and wandering around during breaks. I cannot wait to see the film at the cinema!
At some point stuntman Mike Lambert chatted with Henry on set, and this conversation took place:
@badmonk_uk: Found out last night talking to Henry Cavill that he is a fellow gamer!!! :) hardcore too! No casual angry birds s**t!! He is an RTS/RPG fan & he is a very cool nice guy to boot!! #Gamer
Hmm.. wonder who he's on the phone with?.. ;)
