'DC Universe: The Exhibit' Welcoming Fans Starting Today

If you're a fan of the DC cinematic world, this new exhibit is a must do!

It's the latest addition to the Warner Bros. tour in Burbank, and includes some really awesome props and costumes from both Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad. And you know with more superhero films on the way, it will only keep getting better. If you missed our walk-through on Periscope, you can still watch it here.

And guess who is front and center as soon as you walk in? - Go Supes! (who also takes flight in the closing shot of the intro video to the studio tour).

Our favorite part was the Daily Planet, because you know.. Clois. But there is something for everyone.

Batman fans will love the costumes Ben Affleck wore in Batman v Superman, all created by the super talented Michael Wilkinson (who also gave Superman his updated look).

And of course girl power reigns with the gorgeous Wonder Woman, whose costume is also on display. Gal Gadot will bring that fierceness back in her own solo film next June.

Obviously, our favorite quote below.. wait a second. Are we getting a look at the original quote from Superman in that pivotal scene in Batman v Superman?? -- These are some of the little surprises that await you!

We also got a close-up look at "the" Robin that has the internet talking.. the secrets he must keep.

After checking out a few more displays, we headed back to Metropolis. Some of our favorite props there were in the details, like Lois' name on her journal, and the awesome press badges for her and Clark.

The bad guys are also nicely represented in the new exhibit, with Lex's costume on display and yep, that's Kryptonite in the back (we didn't want to get too close).

You remember this hairless guy.. made Batman jump and you know that can't be easy.

You can see all of our pics in HQ, in the gallery below.

At the end of the tour, we stopped by the studio store to check out the Batman v Superman offerings, and we dare you to walk away without buying something. Some of these items you won't find online, so we decided not to pass up our opportunity to buy a couple of things.

A huge thanks to Warner Bros. for allowing us to check out the new exhibit and bring you live coverage from there. Learn more at wbstudiotour.com.

Lois Hawley lives in Mesa, Arizona -- and today she spotted the first The Man from U.N.C.L.E. poster in a theater!

"You Don't Have To Explain To The Consumer What A Batman v Superman Is"

Leave it to the top boss at Warner Brothers, to say it like it is. Speaking at a conference today (via Variety), Kevin Tsujihara couldn't have been more clear about the studio's plans to build a connected cinematic universe. But he also made sure to mention what makes films like Batman v Superman different from their Marvel counterparts:

“The worlds of DC are very different,” (..) “They’re steeped in realism, and they’re a little bit edgier than Marvel’s movies.”

Tsujihara also dismissed concerns that the film industry is suffering from superhero fatigue, crediting the global recognition of the DC characters:

“The big franchises are becoming more and more valuable,” (..) “You don’t have to explain to the consumer what a ‘Batman v Superman’ is.”

He went on to talk about cyber-security at Warner Brothers in light of the Sony hack attack and much more. Read it all over at Variety.  Killing it, Superman!

UPDATE 3/6: Nice one, Larry Fong..

WB Reveals 'Justice League' Two-Parter Dates, Promises 'Man Of Steel 2'

You ready everyone? because Warner Brothers just revealed some MAJOR details on what's ahead for us in the next few years. It includes A LOT OF SUPERMAN. Go Henry!

BURBANK, Calif.--()--Today at a Time Warner investors meeting, Warner Bros.’ Chairman and CEO Kevin Tsujihara outlined an aggressive content strategy for the Studio aimed at increasing profits while “doubling down on outstanding content, working with the best talent and maintaining the culture that makes Warner Bros. so great.”

“The demand for high quality video content is growing fast – in the United States and around the world – as new technologies have created new platforms and millions of new connected consumers,” said Tsujihara. “The opportunity is huge. And no studio is better positioned to take advantage of it than Warner Bros.”
As part of his presentation, Tsujihara announced a bold expansion of the industry’s broadest theatrical slate, built around the largest, most important global franchises. Warner Bros. Pictures will release three LEGO-branded films over the next four years, building upon the enormous success of this year’s “The LEGO Movie” ($468 million worldwide box office), starting with “Ninjago” in 2016, directed by Charlie Bean and produced by Dan Lin, Roy Lee, Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Batman will take a star turn in “The LEGO Batman Movie” in 2017, directed by Chris McKay, and the sequel, “The LEGO Movie 2,” will debut in 2018.
The Studio will release three pictures, in 2016, 2018 and 2020, based on best-selling author J.K. Rowling’s original story and screenwriting debut, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.” Set in an extension of her familiar wizarding world, featuring magical creatures and characters inspired by Harry Potter’s Hogwarts textbook and its fictitious author, Newt Scamander, “Fantastic Beasts” will be directed by David Yates, who directed the last four Harry Potter movies, and reunite the filmmaking team of David Heyman, J.K. Rowling, Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram.
And, in a massive expansion of the Studio’s DC Entertainment-branded content, Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema will release a slate of at least 10 movies—as well as stand-alone Batman and Superman films—from 2016 through 2020 that expands this prized universe of characters:
  • “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” directed by Zack Snyder (2016)
  • “Suicide Squad,” directed by David Ayer (2016)
  • “Wonder Woman,” starring Gal Gadot (2017)
  • “Justice League Part One,” directed by Zack Snyder, with Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Amy Adams reprising their roles (2017)
  • “The Flash,” starring Ezra Miller (2018)
  • “Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa (2018)
  • “Shazam” (2019)
  • “Justice League Part Two,” directed by Zack Snyder (2019)
  • “Cyborg,” starring Ray Fisher (2020)
  • “Green Lantern” (2020)
On the television front, Warner Bros. Television Group is the undisputed industry leader, providing 32 shows to the five broadcast networks and an overall roster of more than 60 shows among network, cable, first-run syndication and animation. WBTVG will grow its leadership across multiple fronts, including cable, premium platform and kids programming as well as further its precedent-setting activities in SVOD and international television production and format sales.
Among the Studio’s programs are network TV’s #1 entertainment series in “The Big Bang Theory” and #1 unscripted series in “The Voice,” as well as favorites such as “Arrow,” “The Flash,” “Gotham,” “The Middle,” “Mom,” “Pretty Little Liars,” “The Vampire Diaries,” “The Bachelor” franchise, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and many more.
For Turner, Warner Horizon Television’s “Rizzoli & Isles” and Warner Bros. Television’s “Major Crimes” are two of the top three scripted series on all of basic cable for 2014, and the #1 and #2 shows, respectively, on TNT. The Studio has a number of future projects set up at TNT, including a pilot production order for an untitled drama set in the unpredictable world of the Florida cocaine trade in the 1970s, from Jerry Bruckheimer, Michael Bay and Michelle Ashford, and is in development on “Titans,” from Academy Award-winner Akiva Goldsman and Marc Haimes, based upon the DC Comics characters.
At HBO, WBTV’s first series for the premium television company, the critically acclaimed “The Leftovers,” debuted this summer and has already been picked up for a second season. WBTV has also produced the pilot “Westworld,” from executive producers J.J. Abrams, Jonathan Nolan, Jerry Weintraub and Lisa Joy, and starring Sir Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris and Evan Rachel Wood, and has a number of other projects in development at the company.
Warner Bros. Animation is producing new series based on the Studio’s iconic brands, such as the upcoming “Be Cool Scooby-Doo!” and “The Tom and Jerry Show.” WBA’s “Teen Titans Go!” ranks as the #1 show in its timeslot against all kids’ networks.
For the first time ever, Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Distribution has licensed the exclusive subscription-video-on-demand (SVOD) rights to one of television’s most successful series ever, WBTV’s “Friends,” to Netflix in the U.S. and Canada. Starting January 1, 2015, Netflix members will have access to the entire 236 episode run of the series, which is still an enormous linear hit on cable (Nick at Nite and TBS) and in broadcast syndication.
Worldwide Television Distribution has also sold the off-network SVOD rights to the hit Warner Bros. Television series “Person of Interest” to Netflix in the United States. The first three seasons of the series, which currently airs on CBS, will be made available to subscribers in fall 2015, at the same time the series premieres off-network on WGN America.
These two deals are just the latest examples of how the Studio’s hit series continue to serve as annuities for decades beyond their initial broadcast. Further increasing the value of Warner Bros.’ library, since 1999, WBTVG has developed and produced 20 series that have reached the 100-episode milestone or will do so during the 2014–15 season.
“At Warner Bros., we are united to not only continue to create the world’s greatest entertainment content, but to over-deliver on our financial targets,” said Tsujihara. “I’ve been with the company for over 20 years and I can’t remember a time when I’ve felt more confident about our future. We’re committed to maintaining and enhancing the great legacy of Warner Bros., the world’s most iconic and profitable studio.

One Week From Today: It's All Or Nothing At Comic-Con!

This is it. One week from today we're either gonna walk out of Hall H extremely excited, or ready to go cry in a corner until next year's Comic-Con. The Warner Brothers panel is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. and if there are any Batman v Superman reveals, they will likely come at the end of their presentation like last year. When the studio released its 2014 schedule, it made no mention of anything DC happening during the panel. But like Steve over at Collider pointed out...
We've experienced those surprises ourselves, and The Hollywood Reporter is thinking luck might be with us again this year:

While Warner Bros. has made no official mention of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, it seems likely that the studio will do something for the hotly anticipated film — at least bringing some of the cast to the stage. Currently shooting with Zack Snyder at the helm, the project stars Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck but won't hit theaters until May 6, 2016, giving Warners two Comic-Cons to present footage.

To be honest, we're not so sure about the cast being there (we'd save that for next year) -- but we definitely think there's a good chance we'll get something. Especially now that Marvel has "planted its flag" like Latino Review mentioned, on future film dates for the next five years. And let's not forget that DC movie slate Nikki Finke says will be revealed at Comic-Con. According to her sources, it includes Man of Steel 2 in May of 2018!

So as we count down to San Diego, take a look back at our Comic-Con 2013 coverage that included plenty of Henry Cavill..

and hope for the best this year. We'll be there bringing you live updates on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram starting Wednesday.

WB Shows Never-Before-Seen U.N.C.L.E. Footage At CineEurope

Aren't they a lucky bunch! - during a presentation at CineEurope in Barcelona tonight, foreign theater owners got to watch some never-before-seen footage of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. - The Hollywood Reporter says it was part of the Warner Bros. presentation at the annual exhibitors convention. The film is set to be released January 16, 2015 in the U.S. and the UK. More U.N.C.L.E. scoop to come this week!

Superman: Hall Of Heroes - Celebrate The Heroes In Your Life

It's a big day in the world of Superman (yes, not just in the Batman fandom) as several real life heroes are inducted into the Superman Hall of Heroes in a ceremony at New York's Times Square. Those honored in this first round include Christopher Reeve, Shaquille O'Neal and Jackie Robinson. Warner Bros. Consumer Products president Brad Globe had this to say in the official announcement:

“For more than 75 years, Superman has inspired us to achieve heroic feats, act with moral integrity, and embrace our individuality.”

“Today, WBCP and DC Entertainment are honored to launch the Superman Hall of Heroes, which pays tribute to everyday heroes who embody the attributes we admire in the Man of Steel … and celebrate those individuals – coaches, mentors, teachers, parents, friends and more – who have made a positive impact on their lives or on the lives of others.”

Henry meets with Airmen at Edwards Air Force Base in January of 2012.

More heroes will be inducted in years to come, including hopefully our favorite Man of Steel: Henry Cavill. He's shown all the qualities that DC says makes a great Superman:

Strong. Honorable. Compassionate. Heroic. Brave. Indestructible. Iconic.

SUPERMAN IS ALL THIS AND SO MUCH MORE.

Behind the scenes: Man of Steel Blu-ray via

Honor someone special in your life with an induction into the SUPERMAN HALL OF HEROES and let the world know what makes them your SUPER HERO.

Twitter Pics From The 'Batman vs. Superman' Set? Don't Count On It

Henry gets ready to film a scene for Man of Steel (Blu-ray extras)

We can't say we're not jealous. In the last 24 hours, the stars of  The Avengers sequel have been creating buzz for the start of filming by tweeting pics from the set. So of course our first thought was, what if..

K-Lor is... RIGHT. At least not when it comes to Batman vs. Superman cinematographer Larry Fong. How do we know? well, because we asked him.

Didn't we tell you he was funny?.. but it does sound like that's a wise decision. Turns out Mark Ruffalo got in trouble for the photos he shared on twitter. Guess he doesn't have that Robert Downey Jr. clout.

You probably also saw the headlines, about Disney considering moving Captain America 3 so it wouldn't compete with Batman vs. Superman come May 6, 2016. The Hollywood Reporter has an update.

With the sequel on course to eclipse the $668 million earned worldwide by Superman pic "Man of Steel," sources reiterate Disney has no intention of moving the next "Captain America" in order to avoid a direct showdown with "Batman-Superman."

So the public "battle of the studios" continues, despite the fact that we all know SOMEONE. IS. MOVING.

Back to the set pics, despite what Larry Fong told us we're still hoping Warner Bros. incorporates some social media fun into the promo for the Man of Steel sequel. We did already get a teaser pic. You never know what could come next. Updates from Detroit as we get them!

Two Big Moments In Henry's Two Big Films This Week

It's hard enough to keep up with filming for one movie, try two big studio projects!

This week we get to do just that.

Henry is back at work on The Man from U.N.C.L.E. set outside of London, after production returned from Rome last week. And starting tomorrow, the film will take over a UK racetrack where several key scenes will be shot over the next few days.

The set-up will reportedly involve the entire cast, dozens of extras, and some classic cars. If they are anything like what we saw in Italy, we're in for a treat! plus, you know.. Solo in a suit never disappoints (don't miss our latest exclusives). Look for updates as they come in.

Exclusive photo from the Plaza set in Rome

Earlier this week Henry and some of the cast including Luca Calvani who plays villain Alexander, filmed some scenes in Aldershot. Luca posted these beautiful pictures on his Instagram account

An actor who was there, hints it was an action scene..

Early call for Guy Ritchie film. Film version of 1960's popular TV show may the shoot out begin!

UPDATE 9/16: Luca has posted a photo from this week's racetrack location, and is that Armie Hammer & Alicia Vikander? lovely photo from the end of day one.

And the extras are making us jealous..

So I basically got paid £220 today to stand next to Henry cavill for half of it

Amazing cars everywhere

My outfit and number for filming this week!! 60's pit girl ✌️ #1960

So no Henry sightings.. yet. But Andrew Zographos tweeted his experience after working with him for the day.

@AndrewZog: (..) absolutely incredible! Such a tank. Great guy, awesome attitude and hard worker :) love working with him.

If that wasn't enough to get you excited, Latino Review broke the news today via The East Los Angeles College Campus newspaper, that Batman vs. Superman will be filming its first scenes during a football game in L.A. this weekend.

Warner Bros. Pictures new untitled Superman/Batman project comes to film at East Los Angeles College Weingart stadium during halftime of the Oct. 19 Husky football game.

Zack Snyder who directed films such as this past summer’s blockbuster “Man of Steel,” and other movies like “300,” “Watchmen” and “Sucker Punch,” directs the upcoming film.

ELAC and Victor Valley College will kickoff the game at 6:30 p.m. At halftime, the stadium will transform into Gotham City University home stadium.

Warner Bros. Pictures announced through a press release that Snyder and producers of the film are looking for people in the Los Angeles area, preferably ELAC students, to be extras for the upcoming film.

The stadium will be made into the backdrop for a football game between Gotham City University and rival Metropolis State University.

The first 2,000 people who sit in the filming area of the stadium will receive T-shirts designed by Snyder for those participating in the filming and prizes will be raffled throughout the night.

The crowd will sport Gotham Citys colors, black and gold.

The film will shoot three takes of three plays during halftime. The crew will be capturing the actors and crowd’s reactions.

ELAC’s College event and Venue Coordinator, Ernest Burnett, said that the filming will be about 20 minutes during halftime. The second half of ELAC’s game will follow the film shoot.

Snyder decided to use ELAC’s stadium to support ELAC and the community.

“They could have done this on a night when we didn’t have a home game. They wanted to support the school,” Burnett said.

ELAC has approached the feature film industry to gain revenue for the college. Features films want to use ELAC because it’s a film friendly school.

“Our visibility among the film community is higher than a lot of schools and I have to give a lot of credit. The experiences of the people that have come and shot here are very good. Because students know the deal now, like they notice the production truck and then move on to class, it’s more common,” Burnett said.

“Feature films don’t usually use community college campuses, because feature films’ schedules change and we can’t accommodate. But we want their business because they come for weeks not just a day. We want to make a lot of money over a small smaller amount of time,” Burnett said.

“It’s also a big opportunity for us (ELAC), and to cheer on our Huskies. Victor Valley is not a bad team,” Burnett said.

A game between Gotham City University and Metropolis State University? we wouldn't miss it for the world! (and luckily we're partly based in LA). We called the college and confirmed with the Athletics department, that tickets are $5 and can only be bought at the gate Saturday.

The Wrap reports that a large section of the stadium has been blocked off for students. They added:

It wasn’t clear whether stars Ben Affleck or Henry Cavill would be anywhere near the scene; school officials who spoke to TheWrap were bound by nondisclosure agreements and Warner Bros. did not divulge details.

We can tell you we don't expect Henry to be there, since he's actually working the same day on The Man from U.N.C.L.E. set overseas. But follow us on twitter for all the fun that's set to come, as cameras roll for the first time on the Man of Steel sequel!
