Henry Cavill the hero of our August issue
The Superman's next release Friday 27th 'Mission Impossible: Fallout'
The quote beside the image of Henry says something along the lines of 'Acting started as a game. Today they pay me (and very well) for something that I had always done for free before. That is amazing.'ReplyDelete
I've translated the part of the magazine article that is visible on the website (I'll post in 2 parts).Delete
HENRY CAVILL, THE HERO OF OUR AUGUST ISSUE
The Superman's next release Friday 27th 'Mission Impossible: Fallout'
The latest Superman occupies, deservingly, our August cover to talk about 'Mission: Impossible:Fallout', his beginnings as an actor and what he expects from his meteoric career. We also give you 5 reasons to love Denzel Washington (and 4 others to hate him). We exclusively visited the Pixar studios in California to discover how 'The Incredibles 2' has been made. We spoke with Miguel Ángel Lamata, director of 'Los futbolísimos', an adaptation of the literary saga created by Roberto Santiago that arrives this month in theatres. In addition, we remember the Summer romances that have marked the history of cinema. All this and names like Charlotte Gainsbourg, Rosamund Pike or Mila Kunis, in our August issue. On sale on July 27!
HENRY CAVILL: 'TODAY THEY PAY ME (VERY WELL) FOR SOMETHING I HAVE ALWAYS DONE FOR FREE'
Mission (almost) complete
He is the latest Superman with a face and a body that seem carved in ivory, he seeks to extend records and show that he can give a lot more. Henry Cavill speaks of 'Mission Impossible:Fallout', his beginnings as an actor and his desire for a career that, despite starting nearly 20 years ago, has taken off towards new challenges.
You're awesome. Thank you!!Delete
In 1993 Tom Cruise was 31 years old, he had received the first of his three Oscar nominations, and was on the starting track, ready to become the world's biggest star. That same year, the first stone was laid for the adaptation for the cinema of a 60's television series, when the small screen was not in any Golden Age nor enjoyed the respect as it does today, 25 years and six instalments later, it has become a robust spy franchise revered by critics and the public. That same 1993, far, far away from all that glamour, Henry Cavill (Jersey Island, United Kingdom, 1983) was 10 years old and was about to discover that he wanted to be an actor. The fourth of five children of a stock broker and a secretary, Cavill was an overweight kid who liked to play rugby, historical films and Egyptology. Yes, that was me, Fat Cavill, he confirms to FOTOGRAMAS the new totem for action films, the latest Superman and luxury signing...Delete
That's all I could read from the website.Delete
my kingdom for anyone who translates that German Cosmo article!ReplyDelete
Nikki, If you can get it to me I can translate it. After English (my Mother tongue) German is my second language.Delete
i found a scan on tumblr, but can't find a way to make google translate the screenshot I took of it. Anyone know how else I can get it translated?Delete
Nikki I found it too and have translated it. I have just sent it to HC news. I don't know if they will publish it (without having the original interview) but you could always ask them for a copy of my translation.Delete
Would like to credit the photographer M2 Magazine New Zealand unable to find the name. Thanks, krmReplyDelete
The magazine did not credit, just posted photos and name of interviewer.Delete
THAT INTERVIEW IS IMMENSELY IMPRESSIVE!ReplyDelete
I'm assuming that the wire that he's wearing is an instantaneous translator -- a feed from somebody who's listening to the Spanish and translating it as it happens so that Henners can understand what's going on.
Spontaneous translation is a tremendously exhausting job! Trust me -- I've had to do it.
But so is listening to it while somebody else is talking to you in a language that you don't understand! For Henners to carry it off so gracefully just boosts my admiration up yet another notch.
Very well done. Very well done indeed.
Would love to hear the translation for that "brunch set up" especially after his "start a family" comment. lolReplyDelete
