Henry On His Love For Italian Food, Vespas, Playing A 'Resentful Secret Agent'

To say this has been an exciting week would be an understatement. As the August 14 release of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. draws near, we just got a new trailer that highlights what we can expect: thrilling action scenes, a blooming bromance, and plenty of funny moments!

Film.it had a chance to exclusively chat with Henry, during their set visit at the Leavesden Studios outside of London and they've just published their interview in conjunction with that trailer release. Rebecca was kind enough to do the translation for us, and as you'll see it's a must-read interview filled with some really cool details.

HENRY CAVILL SUPERMAN ON A VESPA: " THIS TIME THE ACTION IS IN ROME "

Exclusive interview with the British star on the set of Operation U.N.C.L.E (the film is titled Operazione U.N.C.L.E. in Italy).

Henry Cavill has the courage to look us in the face when we meet him on the set of Operation U.N.C.L.E, it is a feeling that almost makes us feel omnipotent: to have Superman there in front of us totally helpless. "I shot most of the film in Italy. Unfortunately, I am going to tell you, obviously: how much I miss your food! Filming in the centre of Rome means you can take advantage of the restaurants which are everywhere. One thing that can literally turn around your day."

Cavill, Hammer and Alicia Vikander on the Piazza di Spagna

Okay, we pause from pizza, pasta and mandolin and talk instead of another Italian reality: the Vespa that we see you driving in the Piazza di Spagna... Ah, the Vespa is beautiful, I have to make a confession here: I do not own one, I'm not too sure of my driving style and let alone would I ride with Armie Hammer in the driver's seat!

Operation U.N.C.L.E. is taken from a famous TV series (UNCLE), aired in the sixties. Did you see the show to prepare for the film?

No on the contrary, I tried to avoid it but I rather say it is a great series. As an actor it's not nice to try to imitate some colleagues, what you do instead, is search for your own perspective.

This set full of action scenes, after playing Superman twice do you feel a veteran when it comes to action?

Sure it is easier, you are used to the action and since you've done it before it gives you more awareness on physical work. You have to know how to move and where you should go. Even for Armie Hammer it was well after he starred in The Lone Ranger.

In the lair of the serpent, Cavill and his nemesis, Elizabeth Debicki

I thought it would be more difficult to move around in this role where you're always dressed in a suit and tie and elegant shoes...

It is, but shall I tell you a secret: our costume designer has created clothes that stretch more than usual!

Your character's name is Napoleon Solo, one of those names that have already won from the start...

Yes but it's not just the name. Napoleon does not like to be a hero: He was once a thief. The CIA forced him to become one of them. So I would call him a resentful secret agent. He would like to enjoy life rather than go into action.

So on the one hand there is your character who does not like his job, and on the other Armie Hammer, a Russian who instead was born to be a spy...

That friction is one of the themes of the movie which also triggers the humour. We pick at each other throughout the film but gradually we become a team.

About the style and character of the setting in the sixties. Didn't you feel like keeping a watch or some other items for yourself?

Well, I say that I am a thief only in the movie, off the set it's illegal! It's nice to dress in this way, a little vintage, but certainly I can not go around dressed like that, in short, look at my jacket ...I have cuffs!

I must ask about the secret weapons of your character. Usually in these films it will be filled with gadgets with which to face the bad guys. What was your favourite?

A paper clip. And I guess now you want to know why I need it in the film. I will not tell you anything, you have to wait!

Film.it also talked with director Guy Ritchie, and got to watch Henry film this scene that was recently explained on Entertainment Weekly.

"Film.it is at the Leavesden Studios, thirty kilometers outside of London (..) suddenly we find ourselves in a corner of East Berlin in the late sixties. On this night (the filming takes place from midnight to four am), Henry Cavill is in the rain on a kind of tower built specifically for the scene that is going to take place. It involves a cable and a slide down along with Alicia Vikander. No stuntmen, they are the ones who perform the stunt. The scene is repeated dozens of times. (..)

On the big screen, we will see a CIA agent forced to team up with a Russian spy and recruit a young woman in East Berlin that will help them thwart the doomsday plans of the bad guy. "It's a spy film with action and many gadgets, but we do not want to be too similar to Bond - says Ritchie when you finally meet him during a short break on the set - I do not go crazy about 007 today, because no one has been able to recreate the charisma of Sean Connery."

Their interview with Ritchie ends, with them mentioning they shared a cup of coffee with Solo (jealous).

Finally, Alicia Vikander revealed some exclusive details as well, and talked about working with Henry on that cable scene:

"As soon as I finish talking to you I have to shoot a very important scene in which I'll slide down a cable." Fear? "No, I keep close to Henry Cavill, the Man of Steel himself. "

Wouldn't we all want to trade places with her..

The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (Operazione U.N.C.L.E.) opens in Italian theaters September 3.

The Action, The Comedy, The Style: New U.N.C.L.E. Trailer Is Here!

The new The Man from U.N.C.L.E. trailer is here!

Take a look at what awaits us come August 14..

Daniel also confirms, that pretty much all the music in the trailer is his!

What the press is saying:

What could be so dangerous that it brings Russian and American spies together at the height of the Cold War? As a new trailer for this summer's revival of the classic TV series reveals, nothing less than potential atomic apocalypse — which makes it a good thing that The Man from U.N.C.L.E. has Superman (Henry Cavill) on its side.

This trailer shows off a big, sexy, and fun spy thriller that very much seems to be in the vein of Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes films. The rapport between Hammer and Cavill appears strong, and there’s an added draw now in the form of Ex Machinabreakout Alicia Vikander as the film’s female lead. I like the tone and bombast on display here, and visually Ritchie looks to have found an interesting palette, so I’m looking forward to seeing how the full film holds up.

Digital Spy

Henry Cavill does his best James Bond in heart-pounding trailer for The Man from UNCLE.

The Telegraph

The new trailer for Guy Ritchie's forthcoming thriller starring Henry Cavill has arrived. A master of the finely constructed action thriller, Guy Ritchie appears to be on top form with his latest film, The Man from U.N.C.L.E.

EW

In this summer’s reboot of the 1960s spy thriller The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Henry Cavill ditches the Superman suit for a clean-cut tuxedo as CIA agent Napoleon Solo. He teams up with KBG operative Illya Kuryakin (Armie Hammer), but as seen in the second trailer for the film, released Thursday by Warner Bros., the two don’t start off as friends.

Elizabeth Debicki and Alicia Vikander’s trendy characters embrace the Cold War danger and spy gadgets, and prove ready to face off with Napoleon and Illya. But it looks like the group pairs off, as some sexual tension gets mixed in with the hand-to-hand combat.

Filled with psychedelic fashion, fight scenes on land and sea, and Hugh Grant as the guy controlling the game, Guy Ritchie’s U.N.C.L.E.  promises to be a high-stakes Cold War adventure.

Esquire

It's not like the mismatched partner trope hasn't been done before, but Cavill and Hammer look convincing enough to play Get Smart totally straight-faced.

Den of Geek

Written by Ritchie and Lionel Wigram, the project stars Henry Cavill (Man of Steel) as the CIA agent Solo and Armie Hammer (The Lone Ranger) as the KGB operative Kuryakin.

Judging from the trailer, there will be plenty of ‘60s spy aesthetics, which also appeared earlier this year in frequent Ritchie collaborator Matthew Vaughn’s Kingsman. Also, Alicia Vikander (Ex Machina) and Elizabeth Debicki (The Great Gatsby) are on hand to offer some of that classic movie chic sheen to the proceedings. Oh, and Hugh Grant is in it as a spymaster. What more can you want than that?

Total Film

As Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin, Cavill and Hammer are both in their element. Dodging bullets, engaging in a lot of innuendo, and generally making it look all-too-easy being a spy; Ritchie’s penchant for buddy action camaraderie has clearly rubbed off on this pair. Step aside, 007....

io9

While the first trailer was heavy on the action and the odd coupledness of Illya Kuryakin and Napoleon Solo, this new trailer is all about the double entendres. Between the agents and the civilian. Between Napoleon and the villain. Between Illya and Napoleon.

“It’s in and out, no mess. And we both forget about it in the morning.” “Get to know each other more intimately.” “So sorry I can’t stay to finish you off myself.” “What are you doing down there?” “Trying not to get lost.” “All turned on now.” So. Many. Sexual. Innuendos. If you drink every time one happens, this three-minute trailer will kill you.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by these trailers so far. It’s been a long time since one of these classic ‘60s spy-fi shows was made into a good movie. (The Avengers still hurts my soul on a deep, deep level.) But this keeps looking good! And like it’s got a handle on the source material in the inclusion of a civilian on the mission. But, I really hope they mean that the organization has a new code name as “UNCLE” and not that Napoleon has a codename “Uncle.” That... would be sad.

A.V. Club

With the Bond series firmly committed to reinventing 007’s mythos in a contemporary setting, Guy Ritchie is going back to where our fascination with spycraft began—the ‘60s, when the coolest spy on the small screen was The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

Henry Cavill looks cool, calm and collected as American agent Napoleon Solo, a role originated by Robert Vaughn. In the film, Solo is forced to team up with KGB agent Illya Kuryakin (Armie Hammer) on behalf of the United Network Command for Law and Enforcement. A criminal organization (unnamed here, but probably THRUSH, the baddies from the original) has a loose nuke, and, being secret agents and all, it’s up to our heroes to stop it.

There’s nothing new here, but at the same time, who needs new when you’ve got all the classic spy-movie accouterments: gunfights, fistfights, speedboats, quips, various femmes fatale (Alicia Vikander and Elizabeth Debicki), and loads of swinging ’60s style. Jared Harris and Hugh Grant are also on board as Solo’s superiors. With that kind of casting, your enjoyment will probably hinge on whether you love or hate Ritchie’s flashy style.

Film School Rejects

More trailers need Nina Simone, at least if they want to win me over. I don’t care if The Man From U.N.C.L.E. winds up being any good. I can just watch the latest (UK) trailer. If the movie does turn out to be a smash, then all the better. It will provide more proof that 2015 is the year of the (good) spy movie resurgence. Not only do we have a new James Bond installment this fall, but there’s also Steven Spielberg’s Bridge of Spies. And comedies like this one that sort of link that latter serious effort and the goofiness of the current box office hit Spy.

Like Bridge of Spies, Guy Ritchie‘s The Man From U.N.C.L.E. is set in the 1960s and concerns the Cold War, though the comedy deals with a greater and sillier cooperation between American and Soviet intelligence. Like Spy, The Man From U.N.C.L.E. features a female villain, here played by Elizabeth Debicki. She has the unfortunate job of following Rose Byrne’s hilarious turn in Spy, but this TV series adaptation may be able to make up for it well enough with the chemistry between Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer.

This looks like it’ll be as much of an ’80s style buddy action movie as ’60s spy film throwback. The current Superman and almost-was-Batman actors also get some help from the It Girl of the moment, Ex Machina‘s Alicia Vikander. The trio have an appealing rapport in these couple minutes that promise something much more balanced than the Robert Downey Jr./Jude Law/Rachel McAdams grouping from Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes movies.

The Man From U.N.C.L.E. also stars Hugh Grant and Jared Harris and opens on August 14th. I won’t be surprised if this is one of the surprise hits of the summer.

Variety

The trailer is replete with speedboats and gunplay — echoing the iconic James Bond movie of the era, 1963’s “From Russia with Love.” The movie opens Aug. 14.

With the release date getting closer, promo is picking up (finally!) -- Don't miss Henry's interview with Entertainment Tonight and IGN. Coming Soon has a slightly different version of IGN's set report and Collider added a few more details (it was a group interview).

That's not all!

Image: Warner Bros.

IGN just shared a new still and their interview with Henry after visiting the U.N.C.L.E. set, and it's filled with AWESOME details. Here are the highlights, but make sure to catch it all on their site (tomorrow).

The Actors Didn’t Know the TV Series

Henry Cavill: I didn’t ever watch it. It was before my time and what attracted me was Guy [Ritchie]. He’s a great director and the story was very cool and I thought if anyone can make this even cooler, it’s Guy and so that was the selling point for me.

Tom Cruise Was Supposed to Star

Wigram: We were going to do it with Tom Cruise and for various reasons that didn’t work out. There was a moment just after that when we had been considering Henry for Kuryakin, as well as Armie, and we said – you know what? We talked about Henry at the beginning for Solo – why don’t we go back to that idea and the studio said ‘You know what? That’s a great idea!'

We chose them because honestly we felt they were among the best young actors of their generation. We feel that – and the girls as well – we feel that we have the next crop. The next generation of movie stars. We’ve been fans of Henry since The Tudors where I thought he stole a lot of the scenes he was in, and we’ve been fans of Armie since The Social Network.

Much is Staying the Same

Wigram: The personalities of Solo and Kuryakin are inspired by the show, clearly.

Cavill: My character is not a born CIA man. He was very much into the black market before that and got blackmailed into the CIA… he has learned some skills, but he’s not sort of born and bred by any means.

Hammer: Illya is a bit different and that kind of creates a duo dynamic between the two characters. He’s a born and bred spy. He is a KGB agent and that’s the only thing that’s important to him and that’s pretty much all his life is about and that does create a little bit of friction between the two of them.

Cavill: I’m more anti-establishment and sort of more self-serving, I would say, whereas Armie…

Hammer: …he’s a hardcore red communist, you know? It’s all about the establishment and it’s all about the aberration of sort of the sense of American entitlement, you know? So there’s a lot of that. It’s a very different way that we both approach our jobs and at different times it definitely bugs both of our characters… they’re just opposite ends of the spectrum really.

The Script is Flexible

Cavill: We come in every morning, we run a scene, and when we’re in the room it’s a lot easier to work out which dialogue works better and so every morning, you know your lines, but expect them to change or be prepared for any kind of change. Some days they stay exactly as they are, and other days they change completely, and that’s quite refreshing. I quite like it, because there’s no opportunity for the scene to get too stale before you actually perform it – if you over-rehearse it for example. So you get in there and you do it and it feels fresh and very new and of the moment when you’re shooting it.

Armie Hammer is the Ultimate Action Star

Cavill: There’s a lot of stunt work and I’ll pick on Armie, because I know he won’t do it himself. He’s been doing incredible motorbike stuff and incredible boat stuff as well. I had no idea he was so talented doing these things, but his stunt double, poor guy, hardly gets a chance to do anything, because he’s out there doing it all by himself.

Hugh Grant Might be the Film’s Secret Weapon

Wigram: The character of Waverly [the chief of U.N.C.L.E.] is played by Hugh Grant, who does a brilliant job. He’s an example of an actor who is absolutely brilliant… you’ll see some of the touches in his dialogue are brought by him. He’s just very, very clever. He’s much better at dialogue than I am, that’s for sure.

Cavill: He’s brought Hugh Grant to proceedings.

Hammer: It’s a trump card.

A little bit more than two months to go until The Man from U.N.C.L.E. release (8/14), and promo is only gonna be coming in faster!

Slightly different version of the poster

We're more than ready for you Solo ;)

Henry Wishes Good Luck To RM Rehab Triathlon Participants

RMCTF

Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund Ambassador, Henry Cavill has today wished good luck to the Royal Marines Rehabilitation Triathlon 2015 participants. Over 150 injured, serving and retired Royal Marines will compete in a unique triathlon at the Commando Training Centre in Devon. This year the event also welcomes injured Marines from United States Marine Corps and Royal Netherlands Marine Corps.

Henry officially became an ambassador for the RMCTF in May of last year, when he launched the Royal Marines 1664 Challenge. He then participated in October's Gibraltar Rock Run to raise funds for the charity, and often wears his support for the RMCTF. We couldn't be a prouder bunch.

Good luck to all!

Batman v Superman: We Have A Synopsis! (And Doomsday Is So Coming)

Thanks to the very awesome folks at Collider who are at the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas this week, we just got a first look at the synopsis for Batman v Superman!

Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.

Hmm, wonder what THAT threat could be?.. cough *Doomsday* cough..

Stay tuned for the latest from Las Vegas, where more will surely be revealed.

UPDATE: Get a closer look at the Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman costumes that are on display at the expo, and don't miss the best look yet at the Batmobile (plus hear how it sounds!).

And with Comic-Con just four weeks away, it's shaping up to be a SUPER summer for all. Go Henry!

Top Gear: Episodes Completed, Airing As Two Specials Soon

UPDATE 6/8: The BBC has confirmed the news reported by The Mirror, and released a trailer for a new "extended Top Gear episode" set to air soon (no date given yet). Here's a preview:

The first film sees Jeremy, Richard and James living the lifestyle of traditional classic car buffs, acquiring a Fiat 124 Spyder, Peugeot 304 Cabriolet and MGB GT before setting off an adventure incorporating brown beer, breakdowns (inevitably) and attending a car show where everything goes wrong.

If you're thinking ‘unlikely to end well', you're not alone. Have a flick through the pictures above for a flavour of what's in store.

In the second film, our intrepid trio attempt to become ‘lifestyle leisure enthusiasts' with the help of some very ratty old 4x4s.

Armed with a budget of just £250, the boys each purchase a high-mileage, low-quality SUV - Clarkson a Vauxhall Frontera, Hammond a Jeep Cherokee and May a Mitsubishi Shogun Pinin - before embarking on a series of gruelling challenges, including a battle with the Stig's Leisure Activity Cousin, which climaxes with a race that has a terrifying penalty for the person who loses.

Read the rest and watch the trailer. The clip does not mention or include Henry, but he was originally set to be part of that SUV episode. We'll stay on top of it for you!

Top image: Goodwood magazine

Today we have a bit of an update, as we wait to hear when we'll get to watch Henry on Top Gear. He was set to appear on the popular car show last March, when host Jeremy Clarkson got fired leaving the remaining shows in limbo. But now according to The Mirror, the other two Top Gear hosts have secretly taped the interview portions that were missing to complete the segments that will now reportedly air as two Top Gear specials this summer:

The trio will be seen competing in different vehicles, thought to include classic convertibles, second-hand SUVs and luxury limousines, with the newly recorded links from May and Hammond.

Henry had recorded part of his episode, where he takes a lap in a reasonably priced car. No word on whether he took part in this latest taping and not air dates have been set, but we'll be on the lookout for when that announcement is made. The Mirror says the two specials are expected to air "within weeks."

Hot Fan Pic From London: "Henry Cavill, What A Babe"

maddisoneaton: "I got to meet Superman the other night.. Henry Cavill, what a babe."

It's like Maddison heard us pleading for a new pic ;)

She just shared her cute photo with Henry, after meeting him in London. Jealous much?.. you know you are!

Have a great weekend, everyone.

Torture Friday: Guy Ritchie Is Hiding Henry From Us..

"Hard work"

So now we know Guy Ritchie is trying to torture us. In the last few weeks he's posted several pics on his Instagram account from the set of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and none of them include Henry! -- We're thinking that could be Henry with the apple in the top photo, but it would be much nicer if he were actually IN the pic. **Why are you doing this to us, Guy Ritchie???**

"We worked the score out on the day"

Looking at this other photo, reminded us of what Henry recently told Goodwood magazine, about Ritchie and the fun he likes to have on set:

"Guy is an amazing filmaker (..) If I could do every movie with him from now on I'd be happy. He creates these fantastic products but makes sure it's fun. He'll be playing guitar while the cameras are setting up, and you'll be there making up songs."

Hmm.. what we would give to hear Henry sing ;)

Today the composer for the film, also shared an exciting update..

With just a little bit over two months to go until The Man from U.N.C.L.E. hits theaters, things are quickly getting busy on the promo side as well..

I am Galla was among the lucky publications that was treated to a weekend of everything U.N.C.L.E. in Rome last month, and they've shared a bit more on their experience, as they tease what's to come..

So hold on tight, Solo is on his way. Thanks @Stella_Broster for this reminder of the witty dangerous spy, who is ready to charm us on the big screen!

Cavill Conservation: Henry's Clothing Line Now Available, New Message From Him

HCN was the first to bring you a look at Henry's #cavillconservation clothing, when we were in Jersey covering the Siam Cup in early May. Henry, who is the first ambassador for Durrell, raised more than £17,000 (about $26,900) for the charity at the rugby match.

Today cavillconservation.com announced that clothing line is now available for purchase, with the money going to support Henry and his work with Durrell as they try to save animals from extinction. Henry also had his own message for you:

Hello once again fellow conservationists!

As some of you may have noticed the store is now officially open! So, all of you that support the work that Durrell does and by extension, all of us here at Cavill Conservation, you can now wear the logo with pride.

Now I may be stating the obvious, but it’s worth mentioning, that all profits go towards saving endangered species from extinction and not my dog’s daily feeding fund!

Thank you all for doing your part in making a difference. Every little bit counts.

Yours sincerely

Henry

So check out the store and pick your favorite item (or 10)! -- You will look fab, and will be helping out a great cause. And don't miss Henry's message for fans at the Siam Cup. Go Superman!

Author Addresses Henry's Exit From Stratton, Speaks Of His Integrity

A week after Henry and GFM Films parted ways due to reported creative differences over the Stratton script, author and screenwriter Duncan Falconer has seemingly sided with Henry:

In order to dispel certain misguided criticisms, I'd like to be clear that Henry and I are still good friends and we do communicate. He has always been, and remains, one of the most upstanding and correct individuals I have met in civvy street, and he is certainly a rare treat in the film business I can tell you. His integrity runs very deep indeed. In my opinion, he has been faultless in this project and an utter pleasure to work with. The project hit a serious bump in the road. I cannot even hint at the reasons, which I am sure you can understand. It's my firm belief that 'Stratton' is not over. There are just a few prickly hedges to cut down.

The author made the statement on his Facebook page, where up until last week he had been sharing updates on the project. Henry has not spoken publicly on the matter.

As we've said before, we fully support Henry in whatever decision he makes in his career because just like Falconer mentioned.. his integrity shines through.

Much respect, Henry.

We're with you whatever comes next!

WB Film Chief On DC vs. Marvel: "You'll See The Difference"

Warner Bros. film chief, Greg Silverman, just gave The Hollywood Reporter some insightful news on where the studio is headed when it comes to the DC Universe. It only makes us more excited for Comic-Con (5 weeks away!) and the promo that will follow leading up to Batman v Superman.

How will you differentiate the DC Universe from what Marvel is doing?

We have a great strategy for the DC films, which is to take these beloved characters and put them in the hands of master filmmakers and make sure they all coordinate with each other. You'll see the difference when you see Batman v Superman, Suicide Squad, Justice League and all the things that we are working on. (Us: squeeeeeee!)

There were some complaints that the Batman v Superman trailer was too dark. Is this a trademark of a DC superhero film in the post-Dark Knight era?

There is intensity and a seriousness of purpose to some of these characters. The filmmakers who are tackling these properties are making great movies about superheroes; they aren't making superhero movies. And when you are trying to make a good movie, you tackle interesting philosophies and character development. There's also humor, which is an important part. (Us: Clark is bringing it!!).

Silverman also talks about Wonder Woman on the big screen and much more. Read the rest at THR. Today Warner Bros. announced James Wan will direct Aquaman. Here's more on that. And USA Today has a nice wrap from Toronto, where Batman has been showing up on the set of Suicide Squad. No Supes in sight, but we're keeping an eye out for him... just in case ;)

Right now Henry is in London looking his happy, sexy-self and enjoying a bit of a break, before he returns to the U.S. next month to promote Batman v Superman at Comic-Con (you know that's happening!). About a month later, we will finally get to see his suave and funny side when The Man from U.N.C.L.E. opens in theaters (August 14).

LET'S DO THIS SUMMER.. We're counting down the days, Henry!

BTS With The Men From U.N.C.L.E., New Still, More!

"A day of chopping wood"

Two and a half months from today, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. will be hitting U.S. and UK theaters (woohoo!). So we're looking back to when it all started.. in the summer of 2013. Thank you, Armie Hammer.

Armie recently went public on his Instagram account, allowing the world to see these great candid moments during pre-production near the Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden. That day marked the first time we saw Henry and Armie together in this pic, posted by Armie's lovely wife, Elizabeth. These awesome shots were shared by Armie.

Before Kal became our favorite #SuperPuppy, Archie came close!

"It's official, Archie has a badge"

That's star power right there!

It looks like that was one fun set to be part of, and Henry confirmed that in a recent interview where he talked about working with Guy Ritchie:

“the best person I’ve ever worked with. He makes great movies, but doesn’t sacrifice any fun or enjoyment in the making – if I could do every movie in the future with him, I would happily do it.”

And following the director's latest posts on his Instagram account, we can see what Henry means. Ritchie has been sharing his love for chess, basically calling out those who have dared to go up against him.. and lost. They include Armie..

"The producer didn't say much"

But apparently *not* Henry, who we did see near a chess board.. but never playing the game. Smart man ;)

Just yesterday we learned there are several new scenes in the latest The Man from U.N.C.L.E. trailer now playing in some U.S. theaters. They include one of Solo in peril.. and looking at this new still of Elizabeth Debicki as the evil Victoria, we don't even want to imagine the pain she'll possibly be inflicting on Solo.. :/

By the way, this new still is featured in Entertainment Weekly's 'Summer Must List' issue out this week. Check out the article, that focuses on The Women from U.N.C.L.E.

This past week we also got a couple of updates from the film's composer..

UPDATE 6/2: Solo was spotted in Puerto Rico by one of Henry's most awesome fans! - What got us even more excited, is what River had to say about it:

"So I walk in the theater and what do I see? Henry...... Unfortunately during the San Andreas previews there was no MFU trailer but at least the poster is up. I tried to buy it but the manager did not have an extra one to give me. He told me at least 10 people just tonight tried to purchase it so that was awesome to hear, means people are excited about the film."

Go Henry! (thanks so much, River). 10 WEEKS TO GO until you meet the man who will steal your heart with his charm and wit ;)
