LAX Encounter Details: Henry "Definitely Loves His Fans"

We have an update on this awesome photo shared by Taha Esa, after he met Henry at LAX earlier this month. He was out of the country and is just now responding to the fan reaction to the pic. He said he intro'd by saying: "Hey Clark! put my glasses on before anyone recognizes you! and he (Henry) laughed hysterically!" -- he mentioned that the ten minutes he chatted with him "felt more like 15" (us: HEAVEN). He also said "Henry is a great listener and talker and definitely loves his fans," adding: "What's cool is that he asked me if I wanted to take a pic with HIM. soo chill."

Seriously, nothing but deep respect for Henry when we hear these stories. Here's more:
And guess what?.. HE TOOK EIGHT PICS. Here's a new one he just shared with this caption.

When we asked if he could share the rest, he had this to say..
Oh, but they're not the same, NEVER enough of a smiling Henry. Taha Esa promised to share more of his encounter with us, so stay tuned for that. We're just happy to hear the great response from everyone who meets Henry.

UPDATE - Read the full account:

I first saw him in my connecting flight from Detroit to LAX. Since it was hot in Detroit, he was not actually wearing the jacket that he has in the photo we took. He was wearing a light blue collared t-shirt and yes people, it was very TIGHT. I noticed him because he was the only guy getting on my flight that looked as though his muscles were suffocating through his clothing haha! He was talking to one or two other people and when I saw his face I immediately recognized him. The flight was a Boeing 767 so there were two lanes that lead to the seats inside the plane. I was hoping that when I boarded I could pass him by, but to my ironic luck, he was in the far right corner of first class. I was walking down the left lane and spotted him from afar. I also noticed that he was reading a book. If my memory serves me right, it looked like one of the books from the series “A Song of Ice and Fire” by George R.R. Martin, but I could be wrong. Although, it would be pretty awesome if Henry Cavill was a Game of Thrones fan hahaha!

I was sitting in the back of the plane and I posted on my Facebook about how superman is on my flight. Immediately, my friends began texting me and telling me to talk to him and take a picture with him. I just told them that it most likely won’t happen at all. In fact, I didn’t even expect to meet the Man of Steel under any circumstances. However, after being pushed by my friend, Ebony, and my sister, Sania, I finally told them I’ll try my best but most likely nothing will happen. At that moment I just prayed for my health and safety but I made an additional prayer lol. I told God that if he can get me to meet Superman, I will be happy and grateful, and if he didn’t I’ll still be happy and grateful for everything I have in my life.

When the plane landed I tried to rush out as soon as possible. Obviously Mr. Cavill was already off the plane but I noticed the seat where he was sitting had a BUNCH of water bottles around it. Anyways, I ran out of the flight and took a shortcut through the terminal. When I got to the baggage claim there were not that many people in the area and to my slight disappointment Mr. Cavill was nowhere to be found. I thought to myself that it was a domestic flight and he most likely didn’t check any bags. Before I could think any further, I saw him walking out of the terminal with a chaperon and I was just staring at him like a creep lol.

He was standing in front of the baggage claim belt and I didn’t want to just approach him like any other fan wanting to take a picture. I was trembling a bit and had my glasses in hand. I looked down at my glasses and had an idea as I approached him from his left,

“Psst! Clark! Quickly! Put these on before anyone recognizes you!”

To which he laughed hysterically. He then asked me if I would like to take a picture with him and I told him that I don’t want to take too much of his time,

“No, no, it’s completely alright, mate!” his English accent wasn’t too thick but easily noticeable.

In any case, I took a few photos with him and we chatted for a bit. We talked about the last movie he was in, what it means to be Superman, what it means to be an actor, and acting in general. I told him that I do some acting myself, that I know how hard it is to become a completely different character, and that I have a ton of respect for him after the last Superman movie. I also apologized to him because when he was first cast as Superman, I thought he wasn’t going to do a good job but I was totally wrong. He put his hand on my shoulder and was very understanding as he told me that it’s completely normal to think that way.

Essentially, our conversation didn’t feel like one between a celebrity and a fan. It just felt like a discussion between two young men who have intense respect, passion, and love for acting. He enjoyed my sense of humor and respected my views. In addition to all of this, I noticed that his attention was nowhere else. He was making eye contact the whole time and not once was he distracted. Just goes to show that he’s a good listener. My sister says he would be the perfect boyfriend after I told her about that haha! In any case, I could tell he wasn’t too bored with me and that he appreciated being able to talk to someone like a human being rather than an iconic celebrity. I thought it would be a bit annoying to him if I asked him about the upcoming Batman vs Superman movie so I didn’t.

After what felt like a long conversation, I thought that I was taking up too much of his time so I told him, “Well, Thank you for your time Mr. Cavill. Sorry again if I was taking up too much of it”. He shook my hand and said “Not a problem at all. I enjoyed talking with you. Have a great night my friend!”

I am indeed a fan of Henry Cavill, but now I am an even bigger fan of Henry: a man who is respectable in the sense of being a person, not just an actor. Definitely a night to remember and I really hope I get to meet that guy again someday, J.

Here are more pics!

What do we always tell you: Henry Cavill  is a true Superman. Thanks so much for sharing Taha.

The Tweet That Made Grown Men Cry: Batsuit Revealed

And just like that, Batman vs. Superman director Zack Snyder made grown men cry. He had teased a Batmobile reveal, and instead he delivered a first look at Ben Affleck as Batman and his oh, SO SWEET ride. The car was designed by Patrick Tatopoulos, who previously worked on 300: Rise of an Empire with Snyder. The suit was created by costume designer Michael Wilkinson, who shared a preview and talked Henry Cavill with us when we caught up with him in L.A. Here's a closer look at his design.

So now we wait for the Superman suit reveal and yes, we're also excited to see the Wonder Woman one. Both should be coming soon as filming gets ready to go in Detroit!

P.S. Zack Snyder, this would be nice too. If possible. Anytime soon.

Superman: Hall Of Heroes - Celebrate The Heroes In Your Life

It's a big day in the world of Superman (yes, not just in the Batman fandom) as several real life heroes are inducted into the Superman Hall of Heroes in a ceremony at New York's Times Square. Those honored in this first round include Christopher Reeve, Shaquille O'Neal and Jackie Robinson. Warner Bros. Consumer Products president Brad Globe had this to say in the official announcement:

“For more than 75 years, Superman has inspired us to achieve heroic feats, act with moral integrity, and embrace our individuality.”

“Today, WBCP and DC Entertainment are honored to launch the Superman Hall of Heroes, which pays tribute to everyday heroes who embody the attributes we admire in the Man of Steel … and celebrate those individuals – coaches, mentors, teachers, parents, friends and more – who have made a positive impact on their lives or on the lives of others.”

Henry meets with Airmen at Edwards Air Force Base in January of 2012.

More heroes will be inducted in years to come, including hopefully our favorite Man of Steel: Henry Cavill. He's shown all the qualities that DC says makes a great Superman:

Strong. Honorable. Compassionate. Heroic. Brave. Indestructible. Iconic.

SUPERMAN IS ALL THIS AND SO MUCH MORE.

Behind the scenes: Man of Steel Blu-ray via

Honor someone special in your life with an induction into the SUPERMAN HALL OF HEROES and let the world know what makes them your SUPER HERO.

It's Begun: Director Zack Snyder Teases Batmobile Reveal

UPDATE 5/13: We have a BATMAN SIGHTING along with a first look at the Batmobile! - So what do you guys think? sound off below!

Batman vs. Superman director Zack Snyder nearly gave us a heart attack, when he tweeted this picture of the Batmobile, teasing its reveal. We were the first to report that it was finished back in March, and now we're preparing ourselves for a first look at the model that will be used in the film. Oh, and remember what we told you about clues being everywhere?.. the windowpane photo shared by cinematographer Larry Fong last week (UncleWow on IG) seems familiar ;) We see your game Larry and Zack.. and we LOVE IT.

Also of note, schmoesknow.com just interviewed Lex Luthor himself, Jesse Eisenberg:

Speaking to the Schmoes about the script for the still untitled sequel (BATMAN VS SUPERMAN), Mr. Eisenberg told the Schmoes he was very impressed with the script, saying it was a GREAT script; which ultimately led to him taking on the iconic role.

Though the Schmoes couldn’t get much out of him (obviously) they did find out that Mr. Eisenberg will begin filming in exactly one month from now.

Jesse also talks about how he's dealing with the fan reaction, to him being cast as the iconic DC villain. Read the rest at their site. And don't miss the new pics from the Batman vs. Superman party this past weekend!

It's Time: 'Batman vs. Superman' Cast Gathers For Party In Detroit

Comicbook.com writer Thomas Williams was lucky enough to snap these photos, as the Batman vs. Superman cast/crew gathered for their party in Detroit Saturday night. Check out his story and more pics at their site. It's starting!

Tweets from Batman vs. Superman costume designer Michael Wilkinson and photographer Clay Enos, seem to confirm that we're just days away from the start of filming.

Finally this, from Gal Gadot..

Can Henry Dance? Wouldn't You Want To Find Out

We've heard rumblings here and there, that a certain Man of Steel can rip it up on the dance floor, and a newly found pic from his weekend in Chicago at the very least proves he likes his club scene.

Arif reportedly hung out with Henry and his girlfriend Gina Carano at Castle. The club caters to the very hip (clearly we would stick out like a sore thumb) and that once again raised the question: can Superman really dance? - well he certainly gave us a preview (Henry, don't kill us for this) when he showed off his moves in Laguna (2001). Fast forward to that scene at 58:40, but really watch the whole movie. You can thank us later.

We've also seen him show off his best (and oh, so sexy) dancing moves in The Tudors..

But in the last few years, NADA. The one brave soul who dared to ask Henry to dance got shut down (in a very, VERY funny way) at last year's Comic-Con. And yes, she recovered.
So guess for now we're left wondering what his signature move is.. as long it's none of these. We draw the line at Twerking ;)

P.S. If you own the photo in this post, please let us know so we can give you a proper shout-out. Loving the Rose-colored Aviators!

'Batman vs. Superman' Production Update: Almost Time!

It's pretty clear that waiting two years for Batman vs. Superman to come out, will be quite a test for fans eager to see the superheroes collide and eventually unite on the big screen. But at least filming is about to officially get underway, with the rumored start date a week from Monday. So what are we in for? - judging by the first casting call that asked for "military types" and Shotokan911's announcement, LOTS of fire power!

Shotokan911 will be working on the new Superman/Batman movie filming n Detroit this summer. Meeting wrapped up, work begins soon! More to come.

This video showcases some of the work the company does, including training actors for a variety of scenarios on film:

Everything from high speed pursuit driving, police martial arts, simulated weapons, to actual firearms training on a private state-of-the-art gun range.

Martial arts and weapons skills huh?.. that could come in handy for someone like say, Gal Gadot aka Wonder Woman as you saw in the video. But also for some of those potential extras, who were asked if they had any law enforcement training. We're sure we'll learn more as filming progresses. As for Gadot, she reportedly arrived in Michigan last month, but it wasn't until this week that she confirmed the news with this post.

And don't hold your breath for an official title. Tao Okamoto just told The Daily Beast (via): "that decision has not been finalized" (seriously??!!).

Tao also confirmed she's set to start filming in June. The superhero light is about to turn green, and we are

SOOOOO...

That One Time, When Henry Was Awesome With EVERYONE

If you don't know by now just how AMAZING Henry is with his fans, here's a refresher. Dugganlbc (IG) today shared his January 2012 photo with Henry, taken outside Hollywood's Chateau Marmont. Here are more pics, but it's the video that truly makes that night a memorable one thanks to the very awesome Henry Cavill. Happy Friday everyone!

We're Calling It: It's Officially A SUPER Thursday!

Holy cow, has this been a great #ThrowbackThursday OR WHAT? - First we get a terrific pic that has sexy curls spelled all over it and now this. Consuella Moore shared this HOT photo with the caption:

I met this guy at Luke Airforce Base and he met Henry Cavill aka the Man of Steel. That makes 2 degrees of separation. Getting closer.

We love it all. Love the hair, love the muscles, LOOOVE THE SHIRT. You just made these Man of Steel fans very happy. Thanks Consuella!

Curls! - Film Marketing Exec Shares His Pic

THANK YOU SteverPaul (IG). As part of his #ThrowbackThursday, the film marketing executive shared his pic with Henry from the Arthritis Foundation Gala. The event took place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in October of 2012. Henry was there along with Man of Steel director Zack Snyder and his wife Deborah, who organized the event. See the rest of the pictures from that day.

The curls have definitely made a comeback this week, since Henry was spotted back in Detroit looking oh.. so.. dreamy. So how do you prefer his hair? straight or curly? let us know in the comments section. We think Henry looks great either way!

One Year Ago This Week: Henry In London For The 'FF6' Premiere

Josh met Henry and Gina at the afterparty

It's Throwback Thursday, as we continue celebrating Henry on his birthday week. This time last year
he was back home in London with his girlfriend Gina Carano, ahead of the Fast & Furious 6 premiere. Josh shared his pic, after meeting them at the afterparty. But we knew Henry was in the UK, after journalist Juanma Fernandez ran into him at the film junket the day before his birthday. Check out his awesome photo and what he had to say about meeting Superman. Here are the links 1/2/3/4/5 for everything else from the premiere and afterparty (and there is A LOT). One of the BEST moments? the sexy stare at the end of this video (but it's awesome all the way through).

If you own the picture in this post, please let us know - we'd love to give you a proper shout-out/link back. Thanks for sharing!

New Pic From Detroit: The Legendary Lives!

First thing we noticed in this new pic reportedly taken in Detroit last week was OF COURSE the sexy cuuuuuurls! -- next thing? the Legendary LIVES. It's no secret around these parts how much we love seeing Henry wear his studio swag. In fact we were pretty shattered, when news broke that Legendary and Warner Bros. were parting ways last year. So you can probably understand (or not) our excitement at seeing Henry wear that sweatshirt with the Legendary logo.

Just this past weekend Crave Online got a chance to chat with Legendary Films’ CEO Thomas Tull. Guess who he mentioned as he looked back at last year's turn of events..

Since you worked on Man of Steel, do you get to work on Batman Vs. Superman too?

No, sadly our 10 year run with Warner Brothers and being in the Batman/Superman business has concluded, so we moved over to Universal/Comcast and I will be there as an ardent supporter of Zack and Henry and everybody opening weekend.

Man, he clearly likes those two. More the reason, why it's nice to see Henry proudly displaying the Legendary logo.

Anyway, back to the fan encounter. Jordan reportedly first saw Henry at the Detroit store where he works late last week (guess he had just returned from CA).

"I turned around and he was next and I just froze there for a second. lol"

When he saw him again, he didn't miss the opportunity to ask him for a pic:

"HE CAME BACK!! HENRY CAVILL I got a picture with super man this time: ))"

That's Henry, always taking time for a fan picture. Now to the PSA: We would love to link back to the fan who posted this amazing story, but unfortunately lately many of these encounters are being shared online without a link back to the source. It's a shame because those fans, like Jordan, deserve to hear that you loved their pic. That this photo made your day. They certainly deserve the praise, because.. cuuuuurls!

In the meantime, you don't credit - we don't credit you. It's not just us saying it by the way, check out what "source cops" (named accordingly) have to say about proper sourcing:

WHAT IS A PROPER SOURCE?

This is going to be a short one. A source is any kind of link or reference that can directly lead someone to the original upload/publication and/or author of something.

Like that post, you can find many more stating the same. There is no excuse for not linking back. Yeah, we're kind of "via" defenders like that. Quoting Steve Weintraub over at Collider:

Two Years From Today: Oy, This Is Gonna Be A Painful Wait

UPDATE: Warner Bros. has delayed the release of Ben Affleck's Live by Night, which offers further proof that Justice League & Batman vs. Superman will likely film back to back. Yippee!

We thought when the big day came, we'd be super excited about the milestone. But now that we're here we realize exactly HOW. MUCH. PAIN. we're gonna be in for the next 24 months, as we wait for Batman vs. Superman to hit theaters. 24 MONTHS. Ugh, it sounds way longer that way.

Our only hope is that with the official start of filming soon, we'll get a sneak peek of Henry on set to remind us why we must survive this torture. Okay, so we're exaggerating a little. In fact we have gotten some clues here and there of what's going on behind the scenes. Cinematographer Larry Fong did tweet that blurry pic a few weeks ago that left us wanting more. And just this week, this.

Larry posted the photo on his Instagram account (UncleWow) with the caption: "Halfway there." Let's see, 333 + 333 = You do the Doomsday math. Of course we're just guessing, but we see your game Zack and Larry.. and we like it!

The nice thing about following the main players on their social media postings, is that you also get candid pics like this one, of director Zack Snyder calmly walking along some tracks, possibly scouting for locations. See the Kent sign in the back? nice touch Larry.

Images: Larry Fong

Photographer Clay Enos also gave twitter the heads up, that he's headed back to Detroit.
So really, the clues are out there. You just have to know where to find them. And just imagine if this prediction by Latino Review comes true.
What a couple of Henry Cavill birthday bashes await us in 2016 and 2017 if that's the case. To hold us over, check out these recently found pics from the Man of Steel photoshoot by Jason Bell. Oh yeah, we can wait for you Clark Kent/Superman. Till the cows come home.

Check out the rest in our gallery and stay tuned for updates on everything Batman vs. Superman.

Party Wrap: Best Wishes For The Best Guy, You Rock Henry!

We shared our online birthday card for Henry with you guys earlier, but there were so many great wishes for him out there today, that we decided to put together a party wrap with some of the best. Of course, the Man of Steel's big day didn't go unnoticed by Warner Bros. And check out all the RTs on their post. Only love for Henry.

A couple of other big tweets, helped boost the online buzz for Henry's birthday all day long.

What a shoot and interview THAT was. HOT.
But of course the sweetest tweets and messages, came from you. Rosella met Henry when he was filming The Man from U.N.C.L.E. in Naples last fall.

Osiria also shared her video with us. It's really a must watch all the way through the end, where her message for Henry will definitely make you smile ;)

We would like to thank everyone who reached out today with their birthday messages and well wishes for Henry. He's a lucky guy to have the support from fans all over the world. Let's keep at it!.. but first let's go get some cake!
