Kent Farm Filming, Zack Teases Deathstroke, Fit 'Justice League'

Just as we were giving up hope that we'll get some candid Justice League filming moments, Jeff Frost has renewed our excitement. He shared these pics of the Kent Farm outside of Chicago, as crews appear to be preparing for filming. At last check the cast was wrapping up in London, with production expected to continue in Iceland. Set reports claimed some filming will take place in the Los Angeles area, and now it looks like Illinois is also in the mix. As for what scenes could be filmed there..

We'll keep you posted!

Director Zack Snyder shared an official Justice League update today, and it's all about Deathstroke..

As you know Joe Manganiello has been cast as the villain, that judging by the storyboard Zack is working on will definitely leave his mark in Justice League.

We also heard from Amy Adams, who during a recent interview talked about Lois in the film (starts at about 23:00).

“It’s different now coming back to Lois for the third time, and in each film her requirements (are) so different. That’s been the challenge. Playing the same character with different requirements for the story (..) There’s a lot of imagination required. That’s what’s so great about our job, whether we’re on a big set and we have to imagine that we’re like in a city that they’re creating around you, or whether it’s just having to build a relationship with the other person. It still requires the same sort of imagination and getting lost in what we create.”

Henry's Man of Steel trainer, Mark Twight has been sharing pictures of the cast and crew he's been working with this time around. Pretty impressive!

'Batman v Superman' Illinois Filming: Day 2

Une vidéo publiée par Luis Gomez (@tribluis) le

It's a good thing we got our fill of Superman over the weekend, because it's 2-0 for fans trying to catch a glimpse of Henry at the latest set outside of Chicago. If he's even there. Reporter Luis Gomez posted the video above of filming at a cemetery today.
We understand Amy Adams and Laurence Fishburne were spotted on set and don't you worry Batman fans, so was Ben Affleck (who also worked out with a lucky fan over the weekend). Nearby the Kent farm looks ready to go, as you can see in the pics shared by Heather Westmoreland.

And while excitement is building ahead of Batman v Superman filming in Chicago, today's shooting schedule upset at least one voter who said she couldn't get to her polling place because of the road closures. Read more.

As for the cast and crew, they were hard at work. Mostly. *giggles*

Party pooper Chris Nolan though, has revealed he nixed a post-credit scene for Man of Steel, telling The Guardian: “A real movie wouldn’t do that.” #wearetryingreallyhardnottojudge

'Batman v Superman' Illinois Filming: Day 1

A video posted by Luis Gomez (@tribluis) on

By now pretty much the whole Chicago area knows Batman and Superman have arrived for filming. Today the cast and crew reportedly shot outside the city, where a few lucky fans met director Zack Snyder and Lois Lane herself, Amy Adams (who was also spotted as she arrived in IL).

With fans and journalists looking to catch some action, we hear security was tight at today's location. There were no sightings of Superman, but fans did catch a glimpse of Diane Lane and Ben Affleck. So no Henry so far, but it's only day 1. Plus we have more than enough (1/2) smiling pics from the weekend, to keep us going for a while.

For fans not willing to trekk it out to the Illinois countryside in the next few days, there's a casting call that may have your name on it! - Project Casting shared the details of the unnamed film looking for extras for this coming Monday, November 10. There is no confirmation it's for Batman v Superman, but the site says that's the only movie now shooting in Chicago. Read the details

We're gearing up for a busy next few weeks, as cameras roll on Batman v Superman in Illinois. Stay tuned!

Start The Countdown Chicago, This Time It's For Real!

Yes Illinois, we know we've been teasing you ALL YEAR about Henry coming your way, but now it's REALLY happening. Reel Chicago was the first to break the news on the locations where the Batman v Superman cast and crew are supposed to be filming starting next week. On Location Vacations has added more specific details today. We hear production is already setting up at some of those sets, and the Chicago Tribune confirmed with the Film Office that shooting will begin Monday and last through November 14. 'Filming in Chicago' added this exciting bit.
Not only that, but the Superman Homepage has shared some new pics from the Kent Farm outside of Chicago, where work appears to also be underway ahead of filming there.

In the meantime production is wrapping up in Michigan, and it's a bitter sweet goodbye for the cast including Henry, who told us he's "met some really wonderful people who have become close friends," adding that he's gonna "miss it a lot."

These last few days saw some big scenes shot at the Michigan Motion Picture Studios in Pontiac, and some last minute location filming, including back at the set where we last saw Clark Kent at (and yes, Henry was back at work pretty much as soon as he walked down that Rock).

But don't be too upset Detroit, because according to director Zack Snyder, the superheroes will likely return to Michigan. Watch him reveal the news to WXYZ Detroit.

In the meantime, @Bananadoc has begun posting outtakes they shot during the filming of Batman v Superman in that state. Of course Henry was front and center.
So now is your time to shine Illinois, and New Mexico you're next! - We're expecting you to represent, especially if you get a chance to meet Henry. Please share your pics and stories with the rest of his fans. Detroit, you've been a blast. Batman v Superman is headed for a wrap, and we'll be here to bring you the latest until the last time Zack Snyder yells "cut!"

Batman v Superman: Illinois Dates & Locations Revealed

Image: @bananadoc, Daily Mail

It's almost time Illinois!

A few weeks ago we learned Batman v Superman will be filming in Chicago for a few days in early November, before moving on to "surrounding areas." Now Reel Chicago has the locations and dates:

“Batman vs. Superman” moves after months in the Motor City to the Windy City and opens an office at Cinespace next week. Shooting starts Nov. 3-14. Scheduled locations include the farm house in Plainfield, the subway and the “Daily Planet” atrium at Willis Tower.

We're hoping to bring you plenty of coverage out of Illinois, just like when Man of Steel was there. Only this time, Batman will be with him. The next stop will then be southern New Mexico, where the studio is busy building an awesome set in the middle of the desertBatman v Superman on its final production stretch, here we go!

'Batman v Superman' Filming Wrap: So Much Going On!

Clark Kent images: Bananadoc/Daily Mail/Splash News

What a week!

Didn't we tell you it was gonna be SUPER exciting? -- not only did we bring you some awesome candids of the cast at the downtown Detroit set of Batman v Superman, we also finally got to see Henry in his Clark Kent glasses (hottie reporter alert!) and a bit more of him in his Superman suit.

But there's been SO MUCH MORE going on in Detroit, as filming continues ahead of a production shift to Illinois next month and then possibly continuing overseas. Right now cast and crew are rumored to be shooting at some area docks and a separate location. From blurry pictures to glimpses from/near the actual sets, here is a compilation of images from those places that look very much like Batman is ready for some action.

See the rest of the pictures at Bananadoc's blog. Filming also took place at a Detroit Deli, and you can read more on that, at the Detroit Free Press.

We also heard from Batman himself this week. In an interview with the New York Times, Ben Affleck briefly mentioned working on Batman v Superman in Detroit:

“I’m having a blast,” -- “is really unique to the genre and really smart.”

We also loved the newspaper's commentary:

"(Co-starring Henry Cavill, it pairs what are arguably the two best cleft chins of our time.)"

Not gonna argue with you there!

So what's next? - like we mentioned earlier, Illinois has confirmed it's expecting the Batman v Superman production to set up shop in Chicago next month. These are the latest pics from the Kent farm where filming will also take place. Seems pretty ready to go, look for updates as we get them!

Who Is Ready For This Reunion? - Exclusive Kent Farm Update

The Kent farm appears ready to go and we can't wait for Clark to get back there. Our awesome Illinois set reporter Lauren, today has an exclusive update on how things are looking at the Yorkville location that will be used in Man of Steel 2

Here are the photos I took!

Few updates... Looks like they did some exterior painting since I was there last. They boarded up the windows (probably to deter people from breaking in) and added a rectangular window to the very top of the house which was not there last time.

I'm wondering if designing is done on the inside of the house already?? A lot of the cars and lights that were on the property a month ago are no longer there, however there was one car parked outside the barn.

My thought is that they are pretty much done preparing the property and it's ready for filming!!

Pretty exciting!

Thanks!
Lauren

Last we heard, filming is now reportedly set to begin in Detroit next month. There's no word on how the release and production delay could have affected when the sequel films in Illinois. Lucky for us we have Lauren on the scene. Stay tuned for updates!

Happy 2014: New Pictures From The Illinois Set Of 'Man Of Steel 2'

Yes, we know it's not a set just yet. But it should be buzzing with activity just a few weeks from now. Lauren shared with us these exclusive pictures from the Kent farm in Yorkville, as well as her observations:

The house still needs A LOT of work it seems, but is even closer to my home then I thought (about a 5 minute car trip).

The barn still needs a bit of work as well.  Unfortunately, no pictures of the barn behind the Kent House because it is EXTREMELY hard to get photos of that. In order to be able to take pictures I needed to park in a subdivision across the street from the set, walk through a field, and then take the photographs across the street in a berm area.

Something really cool they did was put a medium size American flag on the property to the left of the house right next to the large light which shines on the entire set for security.

Thanks Lauren, we can't wait for filming to begin. Just like we did with The Man from U.N.C.L.E., we are hoping to bring you updates from the Man of Steel 2 sets as production gets going in February. Happy 2014 everyone!

Fan Flashback: Cute Story From The Illinois Set Of 'Man of Steel'

Hello handsome!

We are always happy to see pictures of Henry with his fans, but we LOVE hearing their stories and how nice Henry is with everyone. As we look ahead to the release of Man of Steel June 14, we're sharing some of those accounts with you. These pictures were posted by Scott Hodge and his friend Ted Egly. They met Henry when he was filming in Illinois. Read their story and see the cute pic of Henry signing a child's shirt.
