More Talk Of Doomsday, 'Batman v Superman' Being Shot In IMAX?, Carter's Wishes For Gadot

We are the first to admit this is NOT a scenario we are looking forward to seeing play out on the big screen. Yet according to Bleeding Cool, Doomsday may be coming:

Bleeding Cool sources who have been rather reliable in the past have told us that they have seen Batman V Superman designs for the character of Doomsday. In the comics, Doomsday was the creature who killed Superman, in an epic battle across all the Superman titled, culminating a battle composed entirely of splash pages drawn by Dan Jurgens.

If true, the news doesn't really come as a surprise since last we heard from Henry he was more than up for that legendary fight. But can WE take it?... move over Lois and bring on the Kleenex. Someone who definitely looks ready for the ring is Batman v Superman director Zack Snyder. In the latest picture shared by Clay Enos, he looks FIERCE. Go Zack!

Here's an exciting bit if it turns out to be correct. After J.J. Abrams confirmed that he is indeed shooting Star Wars Episode VII with IMAX cameras, Pajiba reported that three were being used on that set and the only other one in the world was being used on Batman v Superman.

As anyone who’s witnessed other natively shot IMAX films like The Dark Knight, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, or The Hunger Games: Catching Fire in an IMAX theatre, the experience really is something to behold.

Pajiba later said IMAX officials could not confirm how many cameras are being used on Star Wars, or what other films are shooting in the format... right. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Earlier this week Linda Carter talked Wonder Woman, when Katie Couric asked her how it felt to pass on the role to Gal Gadot: WATCH

"Well, they didn’t ask me. I kind of wanted to keep it, but the truth is that I wish her well. I think it is…to play a superhero is kind of thankless in a lot of ways. And as long as they don’t try to make a…they don’t write it for a guy, but put a girl in there, you know grrr, that kind of stuff, because that’s not Wonder Woman."

"Wonder Woman’s about heart, about kindness, about righting wrongs. It’s like all of us, right? It’s where we live. It’s all the places we live. And that’s really who Wonder Woman is. All the things we do. And then, there’s still that secret self that wants a pat on the back every now and then. So we come in all shapes and sizes, and I really do hope that she can bring that kind of heart to the character."

Of course after seeing Henry's revamped Superman suit last week, now all that's left is Wonder Woman's big costume reveal. And lucky L.A. once again gets a chance to see the Man of Steel costumes on display, as part of a cool exhibition coming in October. Read all about it and stay tuned for the latest from Detroit.

  1. Ok, Superman is going to be killed off? So many rumors about it and now this. So it's true? I'm stressed out!

    1. IF Doomsday does make an appearance in the film, and that's a big IF, in the comics Superman doesn't really die. But we're definitely not looking forward to seeing Supes get his butt kicked.

  2. Thanks for the reply! Cool. It would be devastating if that happen so soon. I still would like Henry to participate in at least a couple more films before he gets the axe. Thanks so much for the updates hcn, I love this site!!
